Looks like we are fancied for a very mid table season next season then.

FGR Forecasts so far:

11 - 1
12 - 1
13 -
14 - 3
15 -
16 - 3
17 - 1
18 - 2
19 - 2
20 - 3
21 - 2

That is a pretty big range, nobody seems to fancy us to get anywhere near the play-offs but at the same time we should avoid the double drop. I think lower mid table, somewhere in the range of 16-20, is probably the most likely...if the club can get its shit together...but it could be a bit scary if we don't.

On average of those who’ve put their predictions up we are 8th which I think is fair given the last 2 seasons and no real stellar signing’s however McCann is the big signing for us. We will come out of the blocks like a steam train the big question will be how long before we run out of fuel

don't personally think Wrexham will top the table but will certainly be up there at the end of the season, they will lose more games than they are used to after last season. being a hfc fan in the national league north is horrible, but still, a hard league to get out of I can't see us doing it anytime soon.

The majority of posters have us finishing in the bottom half of the table, based on a mediocre season last year. However, our squad is greatly improved and there is no reason why we can't be challenging for the top seven, as we generally have historically at this level.

McGee, Dennis, Norris and Hendry are all good signings and have improved us in key areas. The big question is whether the completely unproven Ian Dawes can get a tune out of them, which is an unknown.

There are similarities with the 2020-21 season when we started with a novice manager in charge, but did ultimately make the play offs.

WABLO! Hoping we can finish top three. Not had an automatic promotion since the nineties though...

I’m finding it harder than usual to gauge our prospects for the coming season and will defer my entry in the prediction league until nearer the end of the month. I agree Rovers have made some good signings, but so have others. It seems unlikely that Luke Norris will get any pre-season too which is a blow. Hoping you’re correct with the optimism though!

Its pretty much the same with us. We've signed one player, a young keeper on loan from QPR and we could really do with a spine of 3/4/5 experienced players to add to what we already have. The 1 to 24 challenge, for me, is much harder this season as there appear to be more teams that are likely to challenge than before. Will be doing my prediction as late as possible.

I think we will be around the play off positions, Mansfield were the best side I saw last season & fancy them to be up there, Bradford have to do it at some point surely? Notts seem to have bought well. Off the top of my head there's about 10 teams who could/should be in the mix at the end of the season.

Yeah, I thought 12. Only 4 spots. Some disappointment brewing!

Pretty sure of top ten. It's the teams under them that are the problem.

I understand why most have us as relegation candidates but I still say one decent box to box midfielder and if Orsi can play with his back to goal we will be mid table.

Waiting until I've seen us.

Stockport County.
I've got a feeling Crewe and Sutton could be dark horses.

And for those thinking that Wrexham and Notts County are going to simply run through this division the way they ran through the National League last year, might I suggest that defences are a lot tougher and better organised in League 2. And the competition at the top end will be very different from playing the likes of Maidstone and Scunthorpe.
