FFS when will our luck change! World class save from their keeper then they break and score.

Now Bikey is injured adding to the 9 we are already missing and meaning we are playing with one centre half. Season over.

Complete and utter embarrassment again. We deserve to go down, we have been absolutely guff away all season and only the fact we've won more at home than Bradford we would be gone already.

We've lost at Coventry and Chesterfield in a fortnight. Absolutely fed up with this club. Sheff United next we are gone.

Fans turned on the players after the whistle. Ugly end to an ugly week.

Realistically, that was our last chance of getting out of trouble. Huge changes needed at the club if we want to avoid dropping out of the league altogether.

Very much so. Didn't go but at half time all the forums were on about how dire Chesterfield were yet in usual Vale fashion we still balls it up.

Realistically got to beat the Blades or Bolton.. realistically that won't happen.

Reports that some fans have had to be restrained from going onto the pitch to confront the players.

Only clubs being shitter than us will keep us up this season. Absoloute no effort from the players today and dire tactics from Clark. Easy win for Bradford.

Ditto for us - although we were lucky to get a point.

Hopefully 3 points at home to Wimbledon on Friday will see us in with a shout.

Tonight is as low as I have felt as a Vale fan. I just see no future left for this club and think we will slide into non league.

Owner doesn't seem bothered anymore, not to mention has colossally ballsed up countless times this season.

Fans are giving up. Even in 2007/2008 which was as bad a side as we've ever had and we were doomed from far earlier the attendances were never this bad.

Got a 40 man squad to try and clear out in the summer.

Some fans have discovered an agent that seems to be behind a lot of what has gone on at the club and paints a worrying picture.

After last week I thought we'd survive and push on and fight to the end. We have given up weakly, can't win away (or even draw against the two whipping boys of the division) and now we have to try and beat Sheff United with about ten players missing.

Going to be a messy and nasty few games.

Meh, Vale deserve to go down, our away record is an absolute joke. Considering two of the last three away games have been at Coventry and Chesterfield (Rochdale defeat understandable) to come away with 0 points is simply not good enough. Had an opportunity to get a little daylight and blew it.

When we go down though I don't want to hear anyone try and blame the players, Brown or even Bruno. It rests on the moron we have for a chairman and nobody else.

Looks like we have a hell of a player on our hands in 17 year old Joe Rowley. Knowing our leadership, he'll be sold next week for twenty quid and a tesco sandwich meal deal!

Bury are in dire straights. Fans are a joke. Club is being run by fakes.

Wouldn't get excited about him based on defending against Hooper and Big Reg!

Happy days. That result leaves us 3 points clear with a better goal difference. More importantly there are 3 or 4 teams who need to better our points tally from weaker positions. I'd say we need 1 more win now, and Charlton just a draw to be safe.

Realistically I'd say bury downwards now.

That was a huge win for us today. We were only two points above the drop at one point so was so important to get that winning goal.

We can breathe a little easier now but still want/need at least one more win. Hopefully we should be able to get it with Coventry (a), Gills (h), Chesterfield (a) and Swindon (h) our remaining games.

I think vale will be out of business within 10 years its in that bad of a state. Home crowds in league 2 next season will be around 2500 and i doubt we will sell more than 1000 season tickets especially at the rip off 345 quid asking price. The englands women game at vale the night before was far better quality than this pathetic chesterfield vs vale garbage.

So fucking annoyed that we're going down all because of that incompetent twat Russell Slade. Robins in a Christmas and we'd be midtable right now.

He came in 3 games ago because, hell, we're down, why not try a few kids? He was well thought of anyway in the reserves. He's put in 3 good performances, inc vs Bolton, and looked MotM each time. He only signed his first pro deal on Friday I think! For a 17 year old he's very composed, makes the right decisions and looks like he's been playing the game for years. Naturally, a few big boys (Everton, Burnly and Newcastle apparently a few of the scouts watching him yday) already watching him with a view to nicking him.

Hit some good form although possibly now because the pressure is off? We did similar in 2007-08 but gives you a boost going into next season at least to stop the slide and hopefully target a return to league one quickly.

Sounds like our own Smith who's done excellent this year... again apparently one of the few to earn their wages yesterday. Sadly doubt he will be with us in league two but at least Smurf can buy a new Ferrari and house with the proceeds whilst the club he owns dies a slow death.

I'd say it's more down to the change of manager. If you look at the team that started at Wembley only 3/4 of them were regularly in the team under Slade, and it's the same with the team from yesterday, The man was absolutely clueless, playing players in the wrong positions, not playing our best players, making awful signings etc. I'm not under any sort of illusion that we're a good side, because we're not, but we've been nowhere near relegation quality since Robins came in. Hopefully Robins can get it right in the transfer window next season and we'll have a decent squad to challenge for automatics but this is Coventry City we're talking about.

Without being the pessimist, it only takes one bad week of results for us to be drawn back into this. I wont feel at all comfortable until we get another win.

If we get out of this, and I think it's a big if, it'll probably be at the expense of Vale and Bury. But, you're right, a couple of bad, or good, results this next week or so will sort a few clubs out.

Why Bury rather than us? Just because we finally scraped an unexpected home point yesterday after four straight defeats? We still need one more even if Bury don't collect any more.

We are certainly the (non) form team at the moment, and all the rest are at least capable of keeping the occasional clean sheet.

Just a gut feeling really. Odds are we will take one of the places - but there's still a bit of hope.

Can't see us picking anything from Bolton or Southend away. Which means we have to get something from Dale and Northampton at home. I'd say a minimum 4 points. They both will have nothing to play for but we need to play much much better than yesterday.

Not just Slade, we pissed about with the useless twat Venus for about 3 months.

We spent about three quarters of the season under the two useless tossers.

We'd have survived if robins was recruited when mowbray left but the useless idiot fisher had no idea what he was doing.

Ah well IF robins stays we will be looking good for a promotion push next season.
