Stolen from our old home the L1 forum - but may as well do both in one thread. The 3 most and 3 least attractive fixtures for next season. I know the PL isn't finished, but with Hull needing to win against Manchester United, and results to go their way - they're fate looks sealed. Also - with it being either Preston or Swindon coming up, you could also include them.

3 Most Attractive Fixtures -
1) Brentford - Local away day, and bloody great away end. Love Griffin Park, the terrace, the pub on each corner, and just the general old school feel of it. Will definitely be looking out for this one on the first day of the fixtures.

2) QPR - Love a London away day, and Loftus Road ain't a bad ground. Got good memories of that ground - and the view from the top tier ain't too bad! Glad these are coming down - and don't think they'll be much next season either, they're in so much shit financially.

3) Cardiff - Glad to be back in the same division as Cardiff. Their new ground ain't half of what Ninian Park was - but the rivalry is still well and truly alive, and I wish there were more Cardiff fans on this forum to debate and too wind up!

Oh - and for those Cardiff fans that say 'I don't care about City...' - this video shows otherwise. Skip to 5:10 -

3 Least Attractive Fixtures -
1) Rotherham - How their new ground got voted the 2nd best in the league, when you have grounds such as Elland Road, Molineux and The City Ground etc in this league I'll honestly never know. Far too modern and one dimensional for my liking - and I doubt we'll bring many up there to be honest.

2) Hull - If they come down, which is looking likely - I doubt I'll be going to the KC Stadium, or whatever it's called nowadays. Again, it's a modern bowl that lacks atmosphere, and it's a hell of a way to go again.

3) Huddersfield - Never really liked the John Smith stadium, and I doubt I'll be going up there unless it's a big game. Again, a long northern trip that I don't fancy mid-season.

Newcastle United would replace Birmingham if they came down.

To be honest, I am looking forward to the whole season, even the duller games against teams we have played many times before like Brentford and Rotherham.

I think the terrace is the home end at Brentford nowadays and we get the 2 tiered bus shelter.
For me:
Attractive.
Reading - Just up the road and we will take loads.
Charlton - Memories of an evening game a few years ago when we went top of the Championship and the away end was bouncing. London night out too.
Huddersfield - Got a really close mate who's a Terrier and playing them guarantees a good night on the lash and a ruby. I haven't been up there for a while.

Not so attractive:
Hull - Bloody miles away and been there a few times. With so many closer games, I will probably give Hull a miss.
MK - Done it before. Nice stadium, no pubs and we won't take 5K+ again this season as there are better away days.
If they come up it will deffo be Swindon as it's a shit hole but in the meantime....
Burnley - Once again, too far away to justify with lots of closer trips. Been there before, great cricket club (pie 'n' peas) but their fans seemed to just want a row so I will miss that one as well.

As Scummy said - you still get the lower tier terracing, which is where I will be next season :)

I don't really care about the least attractive fixtures, quite a few in this league.

As long as we beat QPR, Bristol City and, hopefully, Swindon, then I'll be content.

Is that due to the fact we've played you the last two seasons, or do you just generally not like AG?

Forgot about Reading - that's a good away day as well :D

Just the fact we have played at Ashton Gate 5 times in 10 years mate. Nothing wrong with the away day, just not that attractive anymore.

To be honest, games like Bolton are probably worse for us but we have not played them competitively home or away so in that way, it is attractive as it is another ground to tick off.

Actually, forgot about Huddersfield, list edited.

Anyone who doesn't believe that Bristol (including the Gasheads) isn't the best away day in the league is clearly lying.
Aye - AG is coming along nicely, and the night out in Bristol is pretty good to be honest, there aren't many better.

Understandable.

And yeah - I don't know what it is with Huddersfield, but it just really isn't an appealing away day, and we always get beaten there

Great stadium and was a decent atmosphere last time I went (PO semi-final) but we have just played them too many times. They knock you lot off my least attractive list because Bristol is a nicer place and closer to get to from Milton Keynes.

I would agree.Hopefully the game there next season will be as good as our last visit there.Though we were utter shite for 70 minutes that night and can thank David James for 2 of the goals we scored.

Obviously this is only if we beat Swindon (which we won't)

Most attractive:

Rovers (A): only played them competitively once at Ewood in my lifetime and I don't really remember it.
Bolton (A): been a while and only 20 mins away.
Forest (A): love going to the City Ground and Nottingham is a great night.

Can't be assed doing least attractive.

Absolutely cocked that 2 goal lead up that night - although like you said, David James assisted you in victory.

Watford, Bournemouth and Millwall all going out of this league was a shame as well - as it could have been even more Southern, but then again, if Swindon come up, and with QPR coming down, that would nearly make up for it ;)

Watford would have been cool seeing as it is only 30 minutes away on the train from MK and we are still yet to play them. Millwall would have been fun, last time I went to The Den we won 0-4...likewise QPR WILL be fun, last time I went there we were 0-4 up in less than an hour :D

Will Cardiff away be a 'bubble' trip like a few years ago? Or the farce of our relegation season? Kettled on arrival at the train station, marched to Lego Land then kettled after the game and bunged on any old train. Too much hassle to be attractive.

Definitely fancy doing Leeds, Charlton and Wolves though.

I'd expect so.

Will probably be an early kick-off and on Sky, or hopefully a late kick-off, which would be decent.

The train to Cardiff is an absolute nightmare, you get treated like a murder by the police over there.

London clubs for us will be on Tuesday nights though, always the case! So my most attractive...

1) Cardiff
2) Wolves
3) Brum

I know Reading is relatively close but it's a pretty poor away day in a bowl ground.

I'm (probably) moving to go to uni soon so mine are basically location based
Most Attractive
1.
Nottingham Forest - really easy to get to on the train
2. Sheffield Wednesday - same
3. Fulham - London away day at a new ground
Hull are a special mention as they'll be local and 60% of my family support them

Least Attractive
1.
Swindon/Preston - been there done that both dumps in my opinion
2. Bristol City - Done it twice since I've been going away, it's miles away and it'll be horrible with the Williams(?) being knocked down
3. Brentford - a ground deserving of league 2 football home to a club I dislike and have been to before, although it's not higher on this list only because it's in London
