Anyone a fan of this wonderful sport?

I myself am a Dockers fan and I'm looking forward to the coming season - hoping for another Grand Final appearance.

If pushed I'd say Port Adelaide are my team, through friends I met travelling. Went to a NAB Cup final in Melbourne (Brisbane vs Carlton) a fair few years ago too and enjoyed it.

Thought I could have really got into the game if I'd stayed in Oz.

But I didn't, so I didn't.

Sounds a similar story to me, spent a year in Oz, managed to catch a Dockers game and fell in love with it, always something going on and the Aussie fans just crack me up.

The game has been in meltdown over the Essendon drugs fiasco - will it ever end?

Shame it doesn't get much coverage in the UK.

Any Collingwood fans need not enter.

I'll watch it should I happen to see it on the TV. I'm a Brisbane Lions fan and yes I know they're terrible.

Was about to start a new thread and found this at the very end of the list, bollocks.

Only started watching recently but it's brilliant to watch. Seems like a strange sport with the way it's played, but some of the "plays" are amazing, and despite it being a bit drawn out with the quarters, tight games are really exciting.

Don't really follow a particular team, would feel a bit strange to choose a random team from halfway across the globe and pretend I "supported" them. Might make it more interesting to follow though.

Carlton man here, started watching and supporting them when we emigrated to Australia in 1959, I moved back here in 1972 but I still support them and I do miss going to the games, the greatest game I have saw, has to be the 1970 Grand Final when my Blues beat Collingwood and Alex Jesaulenko took that famous mark.

Just to let everyone know I have just about recovered mentally from being labelled a Bagger!!!

The emotional torment was horrid and the link to failure has been subdued with a quick grope of my Ben Cousins doll
