What truth do Brentford fans think there is in this story about Watkins having an £18m release clause?

Don’t you rate him then? Scored a lot of goals for Peterborough, seems like he’d be a good fit. MacAnthony will ask for silly money though probably

I rate him at League One level and think he has a good chance of stepping up but he's not replacing 26 goals and one of the best all-round forwards i've seen at this level.

To be fair, he’s not just a good League One player, he is an absolute monster at that level. Will easily handle the step up. There’s talk of him going straight to the Premier League. I think in a team like Brentford that create chances, he’ll score for fun in the Championship.

MacAnthony can’t keep his mouth shut but you just can’t argue with Peterborough’s record with young strikers, honestly quite remarkable.

I always reserve judgement about goal records in L1, the defending is really, really crap.
Garner bagged 25 in 37 for us in our promotion season but he's only hit double figures once at this level.

Of course Toney has better physical attributes than Garner but it's much, much harder to score at this level.

I think he'd do fine for them but he's not coming up and hitting 20+ in his first season imo.

That’s a fair assessment, it’s a big step as we found this season. Would be a little different for Toney as he wouldnt be in a team also trying to adapt to a new level but parachuted into a side already well accustomed to it, who by there nature create a lot. A lot would depend on who else they bring in to replace players like Benrahma and whoever else they lose. They are surely due a few misses in the transfer market soon!

Finally signed Saman Ghoddos, transfer that seemed to be going on for ever

Do you know this player? In your opinion is he a good player?

Excellent win at Luton today, Ivan Toney with his ninth of the season. Toney substituted by Marcus Forss and within minute Forss scores. Pity we can't find a way of playing the two together. That's 9 for Toney now and six for Forss. Hopefully we are building some momentum if the government let's us carrying on playing.

Bit late to reply to this but I vividly remember this game and Toney's performance was top notch

Good display at Rotherham last night, Ivan Toney now has 13 goals and Marcus Forss 7. It was good seeing them played together last night, wonder if Thomas Frank will do that again against Blackburn on Saturday
