Oooh worra day of action.

We were unlucky to draw with Cambridge, Plymouth, Oxford and Pompey lost which means Accrington and Bristol Rovers were today's big winners.

And definitely us.

Great day for us too*. The Cobblers just can't beat us :woo:

*Not that we're going to make the play offs, but we're still in this thread.

We just can't win more than 2 on the bounce. All it would take is a run of 3-4 to break the top 3 but w don't seem capable. Play offs could be doable if we can keep pace we've won 2in a row a few times, Another trip to Wembley wouldn't be a bad thing either

Bloody hell, starting to think that Automatics could actually be a possibility.

Think it's time to move on. It's been nice being here.

Hopefully I'll be back before the end of the season but if not so be it. After last seasons shower of shite it's a miracle we were even here in the first place.

Yeah but no but yeah but our run of form recently has been absolutely dismal, yet we seem to be getting closer to the playoffs each week in terms of points

I think it's showing how shite this league is outside the top 6. No one can string some wins together to make that 7th spot their own.
I think there's room for hope then, a run of bad form is always a fear when you're in a promotion race and we're definitely having ours... yet we're not really paying a high price for it so unless this run lasts until the end of the season, we have a great chance of making the playoffs once we get back on form.

We just need something to hang on to and get the confidence up... I thought it would be the late show at Morecambe, or that we'd smash Dagenham or that we'd score a late winner yesterday against Exeter, but we're still looking for that thing. The next few games don't look all that hopeful sadly.

If it puts your mind at rest, I've never been at all concerned about Carlisle as promotion rivals.

It's alright, since I've been following cufc, I've never at all been concerned about Oxford United as a football team.
It was only last season I realised they existed. Thanks for the gesture though.

Excellent set of results yesterday, played poorly but got the points which was nice. 7 points clear of those outside the POs, been an excellent week or so. Accy - Wycombe on Wednesday I've just seen, big game that. Hoping for a draw ideally.

Really hard to call who's gonna end up where this year. I reckon one out of second or third will drop away but I can't call who it is.

1) Northampton (won't quite get 100 points though)
2) ??
3) Bristol Rovers

4) ??
5) Stanley
6) Pompey
7) Wycombe

Well we'll see how unconcerned you are about us after we fucking annihilate you in our return fixture up here at Brunton Park and wreck your auto promotion hopes.

You know I thought the rest of our season was going to be boring, but you've given me a match to look forward to and I'm sure a posh middle class toff like you will probably be too scared to come this far north.

I think it's written in the stars for Oxford to get promotion at Brunton Park, with it being the penultimate game of the season.

Admitting he is only interested in OUFC. If only other Carlisle fans were as honest.

We'll stop you unfairly from going up and you'll hate our club for years to come as Oxford will suffer from it and end up going back down to the conference. It will be a case of if only Carlisle hadn't luckily beat us in the 96th minute then we'd of gone higher and higher.

Could happen mate, could happen.

I'm on the fence about Accrington vs Wycombe on Wednesday, our run in is favourable and my heart tells me we could still nick a top three spot with things being very open all of a sudden.

But the realism is we're not going to win ten in a row to achieve that, we're aiming for 7th.

So a draw or an Accrington win...........Just noticed though, Wycombe are one of the lowest scorers in the league, but have one of the best defences.

Yeah so a 0-0 looks the most likely result.

Accrington win, please. We have far too much to do to make the automatics; winning 8 of the last 10 is a shitty pipe dream in itself, let alone hoping that four other sides don't win more than 5.

As things stand, I think the current top 6 will remain the same, though it could be in any order (bar Northampton).

That final playoff spot will be contested mainly by Orient, Wycombe or Wimbledon, while us, Mansfield and Cambridge are clinging on to any hope of a late push.

Accrington are currently 1-0 up against Wycombe.

Am I right in thinking Northampton can be promoted on Easter Monday? 17 points clear of 4th place - ridiculous!
