Saw Spunge at Frome Cheese and Grain, pretty decent gig TBF.

My favourite track of their's is actually a cover of Bob Marley's No Woman No Cry. Better than the original IMO.

I've seen them quite a few times, they always seemed to be gigging. Random places like the jailhouse in Hereford or the pig and drum in Worcester. For a while it seemed like if i turned up in an obscure town they would be playing:bg:

We ended up talking about ska in the punk thread and I pointed out that there was a bit of UK scene around the turn of millennium and a bit beyond. Which Aber alludes to by starting the thread with [spunge], a band who I have never really enjoyed. These are a few tunes I enjoyed back in those days, though. Capdown, especially were a personal favourite.

Having shared a bit of UK ska punk in that thread, I'll share a few of my US faves here. Starting with probably my favourite ever ska punk tune. If the bass on this one doesn't suck you in straight away, then you should just give up on music for me...

Not as good as the original, but props for a stellar effort...

Not full on ska from a definitely not full on ska band, but there's definitely something about this deserves a place in here...

I only got into this band because a really cool girl I adored was obsessed with them but then I really liked them. I know " cool story aber"
