I remember my team talk that night, I told the players to think of their loved ones and families and to go out and win for them. It was a great performance.

So, another transfer window of fun and games lie in wait, and I'm sure we will once again be amongst the busiest in the league.

Early rumours suggest Cameron, Riley, Pope, Clarke (both) could well be on their way out in addition to those released and of course Ryan Lowe who has effectively been forced out.

Aaron Phillips a right back from Cov is linked with an early move in.

I would love to see how you would tackle the situation Kev. At the moment I am fearful.
The only goalkeeper on our books is one the idiot Flitcroft refuses to play in front of a Port Vale has been in the end of season dead rubbers.
Not strong enough at right back through Riley or Jones
Cameron and Clarke may be leaving ... Brown has left.
Hussey ... not great defensively
Soares ... good utility player
Etuhu ... hard to tell from last season if he has made the step up to this level.
Tutte ... hopefully he continues to impress. Lets hope that ludicrous spell where he was played on the wing is behind us.
Mayor ... difficult for him as often double or even triple marked out of the game given our weakness in creativity in other areas.
Rose ... Never gets a look in
Pope ... not sure what he has done wrong. One thing Hussey does offer is a decent cross. Its criminal we don't utilise this to its potential.
Clarke ... goalscoring record speaks for himself. Likely to leave.

Things not looking good given murmourings of cost cutting rearing its ugly head again.

Cost cutting is not a bad thing, in fact it is something I am very good at. However would you trust this idiot to cut costs efficiently and still have a stable side to compete with? Well considering he is too thick/incompetent to blood our youngsters, and managed to mess up a balanced team before the season started last year I don't hold out any hope. Most likely instead of blooding our very talented kids, they will be loaned to Norway's none league and we will be told it is an amazing opportunity for them, in their place players will be loaned from the championship who have never played professional football before before making an appearance and then disappearing again.
If things get as bad as I think they will then this idiot will be gone by September. I just pity the poor sod who has to clean up the garbage that they will likely inherit.

This takes me back to when I arrived at gigg lane and saw the truly awful state of the team.

I heard this from a Mansfield fan on here the other day, tweeted it out but it got no response. No indication of this on our side and looking online it seems it was only a rumour started by one of your fans on your own messageboard. No mention of it on social media. Id doubt Rose is one we are looking to ship out either, he's still young and compared to the rest of the squad will be on low wages.

Nobody really knows. We either have a wealthy benefactor or we don't. Playing budget is rumoured to be smaller next season but we still have plenty of contracted players. Guess we will have to wait and see. Apparently we are after Southends David Worrall which suggests we have money coming from somewhere

T.A. will be gutted. He's alright, still young but I think L2 is defintely his level. Scored about 3 goals for us last season and mainly came off the bench. Could have been a decent off the bench player but I'm not too fussed he's moved on. I personally don't think he's progressed at all since signin two years ago but you can thank our incompetent manager for that I imagine.

I'm really close to giving up totally at the moment ... never hated going to games as much as I have since this prick took over ... and that includes much of the promotion season. Boring negative style of football, bullshit spouted every time he opens his mouth, an underachieving squad, huge losses announced and probably a new ground in Pilsworth to top it all off.

Always love going to the games, drinking and moaning, but getting into the ground and having no idea what farcial selection is going to be put out really winds me up. I just can't forgive that farce against Crewe and then Hull in the cup, Soares at fecking right back, Tutte on right wing, two wingers and a full back on the bench, literally defied belief.
