Christ I hope you guys survive, I can’t get my head round your particular situation, but would hate it if you folded.

Serious lessons need to be learnt.

Just looked on the website to see if the fat c*** of the chairman had issued any statement. The last update was celebrating Wilkos friendly win on fucking Saturday. No mention on there of the deadline set on Friday, further deadline set today or the final decision to postpone the match. Utterly fucking pathetic.

Few Bury fans and a local journo seem to think that's it for Bury - due back in court on Wednesday and most likely going to be liquidated

:(

Screw the EFL and their 'fit and proper' bs. They'd fail their own test.

Problem is its too late to enter this season. By the time next season rolls around how many more fans will have drifted away?

Indeed. But it gives the fans plenty of time to get a phoenix club set up and ready for next season. As long as they are able to get the keys to Gigg Lane.

The social media blackout from Bury is a disgrace.

According to the BBC, Bury will now also be referred to an "independent disciplinary panel". They've already been deducted 12 points, so I assume that will mean further points deduction :err:

That's why the EFL have given a 14 day overall deadline. I can't see them extending it anymore past the 9th August. At most that will mean two, possibly three games potentially suspended for Bury (us and Accrington in the league and Sheffield Weds in the league cup) if things get sorted at the last minute. If things still aren't sorted by 9th August then I think the EFL will expel them from the league.
I believe two games unfulfilled = expulsion.

A further points deduction really is the least of our worries.

Sorry to hear this news. It really is shit that it's the fans who suffer. What these rogue owners do is nothing short of criminal.

Any Bury fans who want to watch half their old team play, come on down to Crewe on Saturday! There's only a few tickets left in the away end but wear your Bury shirts and I can assure you you'll drink for free all day!

We are more likely to be found in the region of Prestbury but thanks for the offer and good luck with the season.
If is half as good as our last season you are in for a treat. (football wise)

The final paragraoh in the EFL statement is pretty damning the way I read it. They are basically saying the club aren't cooperating with them......

As has been the case throughout this entire process, the EFL will continue to offer its full assistance to the ownership at Bury, but remains clear that while the League is here to support the Club through some extremely complex and complicated issues, the outstanding matters can only be resolved with the cooperation from the Club itself."

As the kids say THIS
Grizzly is only interested in what he can get from the sale of the ground.

I can't see any way out of this for Bury now. I didn't really see it a few weeks ago either but you always hoped something would happen.

Another great addition to Shaun Harvey’s legacy.

Rather than kissing prem backsides the efl urgently need to force in a wage cap based on levels.........of L1/2 players don’t like it they can leave the game.

The EFL simply doesn’t have and never will have the tv revenue the prem has to keep ridiculously upping wages each year like the prem does.

You now get L2 players on £3-5000 a week

Or that Gordon or Jill (I think they are the only 2 left in the office) have access to the website/twitter/FB accounts.

Based on his previous statements, how much are we believing today?

Zero. Part of me is hoping the courts liquidate us to get rid of this cancer.

Seems to have disappeared!

Good luck to Bury - remember them getting promoted at the Vic in 1997 after we missed a late penalty.

Maybe a sign of the times but remember playing a few teams back then who have really suffered since.
