TCG CUP 2017​

We'll start with the Cup Final this week. Walkley Owl scored 28, so JaseTheVillain needed a score of 40 or above to clinch the trophy (there isn't an actual trophy, sorry). Hardly impossible. But could he manage it....

Despite pushing the boat out, in an approximation of what is now being dubbed the 'epic' tactic, it wasn't to be. Congratulations Walkley Owl - the inaugural TCG Cup Champion! As I mentioned last week, he hasn't trailed at any point during this cup campaign, fully deserved. Now can he make it a double?

And barring a miracle, that he will. Rammy picks a good moment for his best score of the season, but it looks too little too late. Him, JustinQPR and Nilsson just behind will battle it out for a 2nd place that has gone this way and that in the final round. Veggie Legs, JJH and BCFC David can also barely be separated after the latter 2 low score, JJH's first of the season. Craig scores well going back to the trusty Scowen, while epic73 looks to have secured a top 10 finish, though there could be potential for some high scoring in the playoffs...

Elsewhere Dazza nips ahead of Madejski as the fellow Reading fans battle it out to the last and while things didn't go how he'd hoped for his team roversfan2001 ensures he won't pick up the wooden spoon. (not actually provided, apologies again)

UPDATE​

Well neither of the semis went to script, and Dirk is the only one who foresaw a Reading v Huddersfield final to still be on course for the big 50 points. He has in fact already secured 50 overall and could be in store for as many as 96 (!) should the Terriers win 2-1.

Craig is the only man for whom the full house is still on, though that would require a fair amount to come off in the final. Ciderhead, JJH and Veggie Legs still have an interest in the goalscorer stakes with Yann Kermogant, while hodge, JustinQPR, Luke_1884, Madejski and Nilsson were the others to hit with either Steven Fletcher or Tom Cairney.
