Obviously delighted to be here, absolutely over the moon, far better than anything I expected this season and it's a fantastic achievement from us. Hull on the other hand would have expected this as a minimum, all the pressure is on them in this final. Obviously hopeful we do the business but really, if we don't I'm not too fussed, we're heading in the right direction on and off the field and we'll be there or there abouts again next season.

Hull have been very up and down towards the back end of the season and didn't look up to much last night so I am fancying Wednesday to get the job done, particularly as the Wembley pitch should suit their style of play

Hull going up would mean one less team with parachute payments, but I'd rather see Sheff Wed in the Premier League. Nothing against Hull, they're just a bit dull

Wednesday would spend far more than hull anyway.

No expectations for me, just going to enjoy the occasion and whatever happens happens. This isn't just a one off season from us, we will continue to strengthen under Chansiri and if we don't do it a week on Saturday it'll only be a matter of time I'd have thought.

I think we have a great chance, we've drawn twice with Hull this season and with only 10 men at the KC. Two sides hard to beat with goals in them, so that means a tight affair and a 1-0 Wednesday win.

Hahaha you had 10 men for about a minute. Fwiw I think you will win your a good side so are they but things go for you in big games. 2-1 to Wednesday probably in the 88th minute.

We don't always get the luck we've had over the last 2 against Brighton, this season we've had some horrendous decisions go against us so I suppose it evens itself out. I hope you're right mate, going to be a nerve racking day that's for sure.

Hope Sheff Wed win it, a club that belongs in the Premier League.

What a load of shit that comment is. They've spent 45 years out of it in there time hardly belong there do they.

Depends on how you look at it, think Sheff Wed deserve to be there over teams like Bournemouth, Swansea, Watford, Crystal Palace etc.

I'm a traditionalist though, and would rather see clubs like yourselves, Leeds, Wolves, Derby, Forest etc in higher divisions than what they currently are.

The Premier League for me would be better if it had the bigger clubs in it, no disrespect to the smaller clubs whom currently occupy it.

'Deserve to be there' is probably the wrong choice of words to use in hindsight. Still though I think the Premier League would be better to have teams like Sheffield Wednesday in it.

I agree with you that it would be better with clubs like you mention for sure. But the words 'belong' and the phrase 'deserve to be there'. Are completely wrong.

Good luck chaps. Definitely rather see Wednesday go up, of the two.

Personally I'd rather see Wednesday in the Premier League because they haven't been up there for a while and diversity is interesting (I think it's great that the likes of Swansea and Bournemouth are there). I really struggle to understand the mentality of 'wouldn't it be great if everything stayed the same forever'.

You would say that, being an Ipswich fan.

Agreed. Notice how it's only the fans of the underperforming "big clubs" who feel that way!

If what your saying is correct?, it also means we have spent 104 years in the top flight in our time, so hardly belong out of it do we? Being pedantic but pl only existed for less than 25 years anyway, though you would be correct, we have spent most of that time out of it. Sufc have spent even less time in the Pl, but I believe you belong there too. (obviously below us though!!)

There was no structured football league from our formation until 1888. We've spent 66 seasons in the top division, nine in the third tier and the rest at this level.

This sixteen year stint is our longest outside the top division.

Going to be an interesting battle this. Hull showed that they certainly have weaknesses against Derby, and if Wednesday can pile on the pressure early on then chances are they will get the early goal.

So my prediction is a 3-0 Wednesday win.

66 years in it 45 years out of it that's not a club that belongs in the top flight it's one that moves between the 2 leagues but has had a few years more in the higher one

I feel like Blademan will have a breakdown if Wednesday get promoted, especially since the Blades embarrassed themselves the last time they were anywhere remotely near the top-flight.

How did we embarrass ourselves we were 2nd favourites to go down and we went down. I obviously don't want em to go up but if they do fair play to em they will of deserved it. Plus I have a lot more respect for Wednesday than a pointless football club like reading.

The year we went down we got 38 points check your stats and see how many times that's survival.

The 'mighty Sheffield United' will never beat our pointless club.

Send Keith Gillespie my best, that's if he still isn't a bitter c***.
