Given that EG is the one who's brought the story to everyone's attention, I think you're being a bit unfair.

And Catholic Priests' propensity for sexual abuse is extremely well-known. What more do you want him to say? If you deny people healthy sexual relationships they're going to be very tempted to seek out gratification wherever they can - probably with the vulnerable who'll never mention it. We all know this.

It really does smack of a weak attempt to trip him up and expose him as racist. If this isn't your motivation, I'd be delighted for you to explain what you're really driving at here.

Well it seems a load of posts have disappeared after downtime so I can't give you a direct quite, but even so, the insinuation is so blindingly obvious.

Let's turn it on its head...if we take your assertion about EG being overly focused on Muslims is true (and I'm not sure it is, as SUTSS points out above), what do you think his agenda is?

Might be SUTTS, but the vast majority of the time if his post is about Muslims or Islam it will not be limited to a flat statement such as the one above. It will be negative allegory. EG purports to dislike all religions in equal measure (EG) I'm not it buying that. His tireless crusade against Muslims on here and TFF leads me to believe that.

Alty, even if the posts were there you wouldn't be giving me a direct quote where I called EG a racist because there neither were or are any such quotes. The insinuation I think he's racist is blindingly obvious? I've said it before and I'll say it again that in my view EG doesn't like Muslims, I'm not insinuating that, I'm stating that directly. I know you're not confusing that with racism, so what are you doing when you say it's blindingly obvious I'm insinuating he's racist? The discussions EG and I have are usually about ethnicity or religion, not race so I don't know where you're getting that from. Finally, as to the question of my assertion that EG is overly focused on Muslims it's a pity the TFF thread isn't available as it would clearly disclose not only how the frequency with which EG posted negatively about Muslims was greater than it was about other religions, but also the level of opprobrium. I haven't checked but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's the same on here.

As to his agenda, I haven't a clue what it is, but I suspect he'd be much happier if there were less Muslims and immigrants in his neighbourhood.

I'm really confused now. Disliking Islam as a religion is quite different to disliking Muslims and not wanting them near you. You're accusing EG of the latter. Which is akin to racism, is it not? I mean, if you want to spin it as sectarianism or something then fine. But that's no better than racism really, is it? Still a pretty unpleasant label to slap on someone.

Well in terms of clearing up your confusion I don't think EG likes Islam or Muslims Alty. Come on, let's have some reality here, look at his posts on here and remember his posts on TFF. He doesn't even come across as indifferent, The amount of times he complains about Muslims and the level of opprobrium he accords to them compared to followers of other religions is something that you seem to be quite ignorant of and I'm starting to think willfully ignorant too.



I don't know what you're trying to achieve here, but it seems quite clear to me you're desperately scrabbling around to trying to say I'm accusing him of being racist, sectarian, or whatever. I'm saying in my opinion, based on his posts I think he doesn't like Muslims.

If you can't accept that and still feel the need to say I'm labeling him something then that's up to you.
