I reckon we’ll win this and be just outside the playoffs come 5pm Saturday. Hopefully Cambridge will bring a few and it’ll be a decent atmosphere.

And I reckon it will be us sitting just outside the play off come Satdee :cool1: My reasoning is that we tend to play better on the road, while on the other hand, I hear that Curle's game plan is more suited to away games rather than home ones.

Still, I'm concerned about the amount of injuries we've got at present, esp. in midfield as there's no competition for places right now in that department.

2-1 or 2-0 to the U's (Richards, Lambe)

It could have been called the "We all hate Sh*tboro" thread...:2thumb:
We need to follow up a good away trip to Carlisle with 3 points here as well to maintain our surge up the league...:shut:

Think our record at 3ptsfield is pretty good isn’t it? Nailed on defeat this in then!

We’re really short in the middle for this and a few seem to be carrying knocks, expect changes if calderwood can get Maris/roles on start with.

Smith up top on his own and pack out the midfield please Colin.

Up the u’s

At least when you're shit, you know what to expect week-to-week, anything else is a bonus, this inconsistency is extremely frustrating, not the results as such, it's League Two and we're an average team so that's expected, but the gap between good and bad performances is something else.

I don't know what dirt Richards has on Calderwood but it's about time he just came out with it so we can all move on.

Thought we were clinically excellent today, 3 decent performances on the spin. Alan McCormack, Scott Pollock and Shaun McWilliams were brilliant in midfield today and really won the game for us. Won the ball back time and again and really used it well when they did.

Yep it’s this wild swing in performance quality that astonishes me. We’ve been dreadful in several games but played others off the park. Don’t think I’ve seen such a dramatic difference in the standard of our play from one game to the next like this.

Most teams could say that this season, Exeter get pumbled 4-0 and 3-1 then face Plymouth who had annihilated Orient who in turn had smashed Grimsby 4-0 three days prior but Exeter beat Plymouth 4-0...

Yeah but it’s not just the results though, we’ve been playing very well at times. We probably should have won 4 more games than we have while we probably nicked a win we didn’t deserve. But we’ve been absolutely awful in some games too - today and Salford spring to mind. It’s really hard to judge how good we are as you don’t know which team is going to turn up.

I dread to think what ward has got him! He’s just a truly awful footballer, somehow keeps getting picked though.

That's three 2-0's on the bounce now, scoring a couple and keeping a clean sheet is a good trait to have.
