Yes you are correct. I put that up without checking. I was in the High Street in Rochester and I spotted it through a pub window. Couldn't have placed it in 2010.
Pretty good knock for a lower order batsman being honest.

It's not the bowlers that is the problem with the England cricket team, it's the batting. You guys don't seem to want to hang around for too long!!!!

It's as if you have a taxi waiting?

No subtlety what NZ are doing with this pitch in Wellington. Barely distinguishable from the outfield. Fair play to them, probably a bit bold giving Anderson and Broad a shot at bowling on that at some point. Crawley particularly needs to put something together here especially with Bairstows return imminent.

Very tough start - been put in on a very green wicket as KV says .

2 down already .

Some of the slip catching from NZ has been first class. In other times you’d say England being a bit more watchful should be the order of the day but then Brook has come out and flayed three boundaries in a row. It’s a different era and even if it won’t always come off I love it.

I went to sleep at 21/3. I woke at 2.30 for loo and saw that Root and Brook were still there. I stayed with it until the rain came. Phenominal cricket. Brook was described as the new Bradman but with more 6s.

Probably the best of the lot in terms of Brooks innings. To do that on basically an outfield and at 21-3 is just incredible. Think Root was the perfect batting partner for him though as he could play more “normal” test cricket at the other end while Brook just unloaded.

Just looking at the NZ bowling figures again Wagner has gone the distance. Career ending stuff what England have done to him.

Harry Brook must be breaking all kinds of records - outstanding stuff.

And good to see Root get back on form.

The ladies miss out on the T20 final (against the Aussies) losing to South Africa in a tight game.

Highlights of the Brook and Root show if you haven't seen them.

England 435-8 declared. Considering they were 21-3 at one point to end up posting that score and doing it at 5RPO on a green-top is utterly ridiculous.

Fantastic knock by Root. Proper old school cricket yesterday and went T20 mode today.

Yet again our batting revolves around Root and Stokes, strting to get on top 139/5 now but if these two are partrd it will give the kiwis such a big lift,

I’ve been checking the score at work and when Broad got out and we still needed 43 with 2 wickets left I gave it up as lost, now just checked on crucbuzz and we only need 9 more to win, unbelievable stuff.

That NZ time zone is a fucking killer. Decided to tune in just for the first hour to see how it’d go as had to be up early for work. Next thing I know it’s down to the wire and glued to the TV at 03:00 knowing had to be up not long after.

Brilliant test match. Shame England are on the wrong side of it this time but even so that was just simply brilliant to watch. Easy to second guess stuff like the follow-on but I don’t think it was a bad call, when you fall short by 1 run just got to put it down to one of those things. England and NZ now officially even for the World Cup final though.

Now we know how the Aussies felt all those years ago !

Good point about the WC final too.

Credit to the Black caps.

Shame we just didn’t get over the line- those little errors early in the innings cost us .

Brook being run out before he faced a ball doesn't happen and we win that comfortably.

They certainly played very well when the game looked beyond them.

Wagner was a different bowler in the 2nd innings after getting battered in the first.

I was at work pretty much glued to my phone checking the scores and we’re not allowed our phones on us so if any management check the cameras I’m gonna be in deep shit but once it got close I was refreshing cricbuzz every couple of seconds.

We don't feel that way often and this summer I feel we wont be feeling it again?
