Pretty much. Buttler's future clearly doesn't lie as a 7 in ODIs, I actually wouldn't be surprised if someone fancied experimenting with him as an opener, in T20 to begin with, because of how he plays the short ball and pace in general. But in this side, with how flimsy the batting order is anyway, his role is perfect for him. People can't kid themselves into thinking this innings is the norm either, he's been utterly underwhelming as an international batsman for me so far - plenty of potential but he's your cricketing version of a lower league winger, a 1 good game in 10 type.
