Well off to Blackburn we go.

We haven't played for 2 weeks. Will that prove to be an advantage or a disadvantage?

Plymouth have sorted themselves after a blip and find themselves back at the top of the league.

I like Plymouth this season, especially for the fact that their club have contributed with others in our flood appeal! I think they sent some funny gifts up here I can't remember what they were exactly but it was very good of them!

It will be interesting to see how we do in this match after our 2 week break of games, but if we win this match against them who are something like 3 points clear at the top then we will surely be a promotion contender for the rest of this season.

The only thing worrying me at the minute is the weather. 99% sure that I am still going to risk it and put my trust in the rain gods. Tough game for both sides but with our improved form and Carlisle not playing for so long I am going for 2-0 to the greens

I fancy our chances against Plymouth, we've proven we can more than match them already this season. We're on top form at the minute, so I feel the players won't show any fear going into the game despite coming up against the leaders.

I'll go for a 2-0 home win, Jabo and Wyke.

We've certainly got it in us to win this, really we could've beaten anyone in this league the way we've played in some of the recent games. Curle won't have let the players settle over their extended break and we'll hopefully be better equipped to last the whole match given that Plymouth have played twice since we last did. Hopefully a big attendance as well with our fans not having their fix of football over the Christmas period, crowd have really been getting behind the team and Curle in the past month or two even when we're losing. Another huge factor will be whether Gilliead plays, he's been training fully so should be fit and we know how good he is.

I'm going for a slightly ambitious 3-1 win with Jabo, Wyke and Raynes scoring. Jervis will score obviously. I'd be very disappointed if we don't get anything, but I wouldn't groan too much about a draw although I do think if we play like we have been doing then we'll win. We've been better than we were when we beat you in the cup so unless you've improved drastically we should be relatively confident.

I can see us having a slow start with not playing over the Xmas period but hoping we'll have enough to come out on top. We seem to play our best football away from BP as well...

I really don't know which way this will go. We are certainly capable of winning the game, but they are top for a reason. I can't call the result, I just don't know. I can't see either team not scoring, so this will be on my both teams to score acca.

Would take a draw in this one even though I wasnt their when we beat you 4-1 my brother was and said we could have easily have been 3-0 down at one point and said Carlisle are one of the better teams down here this season.that said we seem to be doing well away from home especially this season so am going for a 1-1 tanner

its an interesting match between top of the table and a side in very good form, mind it must be good for them loyal Plymouth fans here, not only do they visit a ground not usual for them, also its nearly 2 hours less travel and only £15 to get in.....a lucky break.

Its a hard game to read really, I said a week ago like a few others that it looked like Plymouth would collapse, but they respond with 2 wins over christmas and gain some much needed momentum. It is also hard to read due to maybe factors of them being tired or us rusty.

My view of the game is i personally feel Carlisle could well win it between 1-30 minutes or 70-90 minutes and Plymouth may win it between 30-70th minute.

My reason is i think we'll come right out the blocks in this game, probably catch them abit off guard as they may expect us to be slow starting due to a lack of games, but i think we'll go like we did Vs notts an all out bombardment of the other sides box to try and get a goal to ease any worries.

But due to us not playing and being abit rusty i think Plymouth will get back into it 25 minutes odd then dominate for a while until later in the game when them being on their 3rd game in week will work in our favour and we'll again take control.

Could be wrong, but its how i see it and game will probably depend on A: Plymouth not conceeding in first 25 minutes or B: Us staying strong in middle section of game.

One other slight worry I have is the stands we got given, Preston worked superbly, was our best home atmos for a long time because we have 2,500 shoved in one stand all working together for backing the team. This time we've some behind goal, some on side, may make for a poor atmos.

Think many will go behind the goal? As far as I'm aware it's the same price for either stand. I suppose the WRE regulars will fancy it...

Nearly there, bad traffic thought we'd have no support for a while. 14 odd coaches from Carlisle. Guess afew more west coast lot. Hoping 2500 but expect less than Preston. To be honest hg behind goal looks much better than side option as we have small front stand

Boo. Deflected free kick, 1-0 Plymouth. Dive for the foul as well. Ref needs to sort Jervis out, or maybe a boot to the face from Raynes.

Edit; 5 fouls for Jervis within 35 minutes, somebody actually foul/snap him please.

We desperately miss jabo, we seem set up today for 2 big forwards (all long ball) so hope that suggests a late injury than our board selling him.

Giving away too many nedless free kicks and got punished. Plymouth done nothing going forward but defending superbly, they are doubling up in key areas.

Need to play more on ground, we are too easy to read at present and asamoah and gilliead are not in it with the long ball game.

We're a play-off team at best really aren't we. Realistically we're not going to be troubling the top 3 this season, but would be unlucky not to make the top 7.

Bad day at the office, both goals had a big slice of luck in a pretty even game. Don't think that's too bad a showing from us, result aside, considering we're playing top of the league and have missed the last two games. Need Jabo back ASAP to make the ball stick up front a bit more, not sure why somebody joking about him being sold has now escalated to people assuming he isn't playing because he's gone, as if he could ever get a Championship move with his career history and at his age. Excellent support from Plymouth bringing around 800 fans.

Pretty disappointing today. You could tell we hadn't played for three weeks as we were very sluggish, second to every ball and not alert to passes. I'm saying it was match fitness anyway as we didn't look like ourselves at all. No open passing game, no fast attacking, we just looked like your average mid table cloggers today.

Plymouth weren't exactly great either, one of the better teams we've faced but certainly not showing the form that got them top of the table. Think we would have got a point had we been on our game. They won the ball bit didn't threaten a whole lot. Their first goal was a deflected free kick, their second was in injury time as we piled forward.

One thing I'm curious about was whether Derek Adams has the Argyle defenders practicing clearing the ball over their shoulder. It gave them an edge as whenever we did get behind their defence and put a cross in, if a Plymouth player could get a foot to it then even with their front to goal, they were able to hook it clear.

Terrible performance, 2 flukey deflections the difference in a shockingly low quality match. Plymouth did deserve it on the balance of play, but they weren't as good going forward as I expected them to be. Their finishing was

Tactically we were awful today. It was crying out for Gillesphey to come on and Grainger to be pushed forward but it didn't happen. Gilliead was extremely quiet and might as well have gone off at half time, hardly had a kick second half on the left (why did we move him over to the left) he should have stayed on the right.

Plymouth fans = my god there's some absolute pricks - especially the ginger one with the big nose and his fat mate with the glasses.

While Plymouth didn't show much offence, I think they defended superbly. They doubled up on the wings and defended deeply. We at times bombarded their box, but got little from it at times.

Alot of fortune in it ending a Plymouth win, their goals were huge deflections and at 1-0 I was sure that Asamoah header was in all the way, but it fell nicely for them and just didn't for us.

One gap we didn't exploit was the mass of space most of time on edge of Plymouth box, numerous chances to smash it and never did.

But fair play on Plymouth for win. They defended well and got that fortune to win it

Jabo's daughter has been taken ill and he was quite rightly given the game off today to be by her side. Excellent from Curle who has a young daughter of his own - some things more important than a match.

How was it at Ewood Park? Must be strange playing home games away from home?

Disappointing result, low-quality game but thought a draw would've been fair. I don't think Plymouth were anything special, big deflections for both goals, and we seriously missed Jabo's presence. 2nd half was mostly played in their half, but we didn't create many clear-cut chances.

Thought the ref and one of the linesmen had poor games.

I liked Ewood Park, and there was a decent atmosphere throughout. Good effort from the travelling fans, and I didn't expect anywhere near 3800 home fans.

The ref seemed to only give fouls to the team playing into the wind.

The atmosphere wasn't as good as Deepdale, it's a bigger stadium, and we were more spread out, there were noticeably more empty spaces around me. The actual attendance was probably less than the one announced as the Jack Walker Stand had supposedly sold out but we saw loads of empty space in there... probably season ticket holders claiming their free ticket just in case before making a decision on whether they were going.

Deepdale felt like an away-game atmosphere-wise... this felt more like just a home game with really shit* attendance.

*By which I mean shit from the perspective of the sort of team who would have a stadium of that size.

The sooner we're playing more matches and back at Brunton Park the better, this whole break of games has had a negative effect on our good form, the result today by no means puts an end to our promotion hopes as it is just one match and an unlucky defeat by all accounts. Just one of those days, if Ibehre had played it probably would of had a different outcome.

I think it's obvious that we need to sign a new striker as Asamoah and Wyke aren't that good together and we don't know how Ibehre is going to be now. Plus we need a quality left midfielder and sign Ellis permanently.

Roll on Barnet........!

We do have Hallam Hope to return from injury, but I figure we'll be in the market for someone.

He's been injured for ages now, so yeah we should look for someone else, I hear Grant Holt is available for loan..

I thought Ellis was absolutely shit today. He's had some decent games for us but I don't Think he's that good, he can get outmuscled quite easily, his ball control is questionable which got him in trouble a few times today. I'd quite like us to try Miller alongside Raynes in central defence next weekend. Miller is a big strong lad, good in the air, reads the game well and is quite quick. I reckon he'd make a good centre back.
