Bizarre game Notts bossed the opening half taking a two goal advantage at half time. Possibly should have been more.

Second half Wycombe were in inspired form and looked very dangerous and were the far better team. At two nil an obvious red card which resulted in Hawkridge requiring prolonged treatment for a bloody nose which in the linesmans eyes begin to bleed profusely by itself! Wycombe switched off in the closing stages and Notts capitalised on some very sloppy defending.

Great day out and for the first time in 8 visits a good atmosphere at Adams park.

didn't go but I know the answer is no

I reckon you're being a bit harsh on the man Raven! For starters, why would any manager play someone when he knows he's got better options on the bench? But tbf, I don't watch County so could be you're right. I'll watch Stead closely next time we come up against you lot and see if you're being fair or unfair to poor Jonny ;)

The one thing I like about Nolan however is his commitment to playing Elliott Hewitt ahead of Rob Milsom, is he a better player? No. However he isn't ginger and he has tremendous banter - a tough call but one I commend him for making.

That own goal (Notts County's second goal) was a bit special wasn't it?!

What a game to watch that was. I know Wycombe are a physical team but at times the game resembled the royal rumble more than football. It's nice to see a Notts team stand up to it for a change.

Ainsworth will no doubt be disappointed we scored from 2 set pieces. The delivery from Dan Jones for both were fantastic. (Whisper it, but Dan Jones is actually a good left back). We looked dangerous putting crosses into the box all afternoon.

It's amazing what Nolan has done for Duffy, or may be it's just the fact he's getting paid. Looks like a new man. Man of the match performance. Yates, Brisley and Jones all in for a shout of it.

Both Wycombe goals were stunners. The technique for the first and second. You couldn't help but admire them.

Soon as Stead went off we looked a different prospect. I've always loved Jonny Forte since his perfect hat trick at Charlton. He's exactly what we need. I understand why he started Stead yesterday, for the same reason he started Hewitt. At Wycombe it is always going to be high dropping balls and physical. They were both there to do a job. I just hope at home next week Forte and Milsom start

The first half was a really physical battle with very few passes to feet. I'm always struck by how physical League Two is compared to German football but that was something else. We prevailed though, we were first to every loose ball and looked like we wanted it more.

The match turned when Wycombe forced us deeper. I was fully expecting us to lose there for a while. Obviously I'm delighted we didn't. I thought our left side (Jones and Grant) linked up well, all our goals originated from that side. Grant would have a greater impact on the match if he played in the middle, but I can understand the manager's thinking. The Wycombe keeper stayed on his line when he should have claimed a few times.

I thought Stead was poor, by far the weaker of the Notts strikers. Ameobi needs a faster partner to benefit from the havoc he wreaks.

"The Wycombe keeper stayed on his line"? I wish he'd stayed in the dressing room he gifted you 3 goals. :ffs: We'd have been better off with our 49 year old goalkeeping coach in goal.
