The EFL have announced that Peter Ridsdale has been elected onto the board as he is seen by Rick Parry as “an advocate of spending limits & changing football’s financial distribution model.

I have deliberately expunged from my memory bank the admin years, but I am pretty sure Risdale was our chair who sold Yannick Bolasie for £20k and a bag of crisps to pay off a short term bill. Within a few years he was sold on for around £25 million. There was no sell on clause. Grr.

This is the same guy who, admittedly years ago so might have changed his tune, admitted that they overspent at Leeds but 'we had fun'?

As I posted in the forum above.

Who better to know how not to run a club though?

As I say, he's been here for almost 10 years and he's run a tight ship. Hard to say he hasn't learnt from his fuck ups and dodgy dealings.

Always been very outspoken when the Prem has tried to shaft the FL.

Still an amusing choice mind.
