Heanor played extremely well on Saturday against massive favourites Dunston UTS.

Matched them for 85 only to lose to a sucker punch of a goal! Gutted but a great effort.

Highlights here -

Fifth Round Draw

1 Bradford Town v Highworth Town or Tunbridge Wells
2 AFC St Austell v Stanway Rovers
3 Ascot United v Ashford United or Norwich United
4 Walsall Wood or Shaw Lane Aquaforce v Flackwell Heath
5 Worksop Town or Glossop North End v Dunston UTS
6 Holbeach United v Erith & Belvedere
7 North Shields v Phoenix Sports
8 Chadderton or AFC Mansfield v Tadcaster Albion

Holbeach are our title rivals in the UCL, so we are quite pleased to see them go through, although gutted their match didn't go to a replay despite going to extra time! Extra fixtures, and important ones at that, are helpful in the quest to get them to drop points in the league.

I'm guessing most of the "or" fixtures come from games not being played, as opposed to replays being required.

A mate of mine is going to the Tunbridge Wells replay on Saturday vs. Highworth Town. Considering all I ever hear is how terribly they're doing in the South East Counties League, they do like a run in the Vase.

I looked it up, and it's exactly as I expected. They are 4th, they just are very unlikely to catch the leaders this season, and in a 1 up 1 down system, for teams who want promotion, I guess you could call that terrible (7 points behind, leaders have 4 games in hand).

Erith & Belvedere - Who face Holbeach after knocking out UCL opponents Yaxley in the last round, are the team in 2nd, who are 1 point off the leaders, and only 2 games behind them, so could still win that league. Pheonix Sports are the team winning it (I'm guessing they used to go by a different name?). They haven't lost any of their 18 games so far this season.
