Congratulations Northampton. It was a very strange (and in the heat of the moment slightly funny) scenario this time last season and harsh circumstances in which to miss out on promotion, so I'm pleased for you this time around.

On form over the last 10 games we’re comfortably the big outsiders for these playoffs.

Maybe we’d compete if we started the correct team, but no we won’t win it.

My money will be on Stockport.
Whilst they’re undoubtedly a good team they’re incredibly one dimensional if their plan A isn’t working, they just swap like for like players.

Bradford are the best of the bunch going off the games I’ve seen against the challengers

Think the winner of the Stockport/S*****d semi will be favourites, but anything can happen.

I hate to say it, but Andy Cook is well overdue a couple of goals against us. Interesting connections between Carlisle and City - Cook, Gillead, and Clayton all played for us whilst Gibson, Patrick, and Guy all played for Bradford...

Comfortable enough win for the Cobblers in the end. Good luck in L1 next season.
Like most, I’m in the anyone but Salford category for play-off winner.

Given the luck and injuries we’ve had this season i look forward to normality next season!
You’ve had bad luck with injuries?

Why have you never mentioned this before?

Bradford haven’t scored against us this season. Salford and Stockport have both filled their boots and looked more dangerous in our games with them.

That said, we are a much worse team now than when we faced Bradford, so I’d expect them to change that and progress to the final comfortably.

We ran out 1-0 winners vs Barrow on a miserable afternoon in Cumbria. Much changed side for us, seven in all.
For the first hour or so we limited Barrow to largely half chances, we didn't create a massive amount ourselves but took the lead through a Jake Reeves strike after 25 minutes.

We had a couple of decent chances in the second half to increase our lead but we had Adam Przybek to thank for preserving our win. He made 3 good saves in the second half, including an impressive double save and was fairly composed throughout. Impressive showing for our back up keeper.

A decent win on the road to confirm second spot, a great season in all - looking forward to our second stint in League One next season!

Basically as it’s realistically cost us promotion.

We didn’t deserve it today, went missing for large parts of the game. Injuries didn’t cost us this season, Clough’s summer transfers did. He’ll get one more year and hopefully learns from the dreadful decision making he made when building our defence

Killip pulls off a wonder save to keep it 1-1, don't relax yet :fl:

Edit: And another, he's alright this keeper whoever he is.
There's a Killip wankathon on FB about how good he is.
Bloody hell, have people just erased from their memories the bollocks he's dropped this season.

Mental innit, if he's number 1 next season we may as well not bother.

I mean if the Linesman didn’t bottle it when surrounded by your team he’d have been at fault for a goal today.

It's his weakness, he won't challenge in the air for the ball and sticks to his line like a rabbit in headlights.

The disallowed goal is a foul, he barges him then kicks it in as he's going down, fouls like that are given every match in keeper's favour, this was no different.

Bit of a scratch Sutton side today. A draw at least breaks our losing run. Hopefully we’ll have Eastmond back for when we re-start next season. Should imagine we’ll be everyone’s favourites for relegation next season, at least for now.

Decent game at Bradford and a fair result in the end. Both keepers had decent games, making some key saves.

Bradford has a bit of luck for their equaliser, then we had some luck from the ref who probably should've sent Omar Beckles off for a second yellow card for a high boot right on half time.

Last 15mins both sides settled for the draw.

Pleased the players put a performance on as we had 1900 make the trip there, which for us is superb.

A good show all round from you. A good game for 75 mins which could have gone either way. Last 15, neither side interested in scoring.

You were very poor for about 70 minutes one thing positive though you seem to have some decent young players coming through the lad who came on second half looked decent and put himself about.

Yeah true but dopey Danny doesn’t think they are good enough to play his type of football if anyone can figure out what that is

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Sounds silly but with history presently between both clubs at each others ground you can argue it is a case of can Bradford beat Carlisle by many more goals at their ground than Carlisle will beat Bradford by in the second leg at their own ground.

Whoever wins their home game by a greater margin will win overall.
