Chesterfield home last game of the season.

In true Sheffield United fashion I feel the stage is set for 'his' Bramall Lane return with us in 2nd and needing a win to guarantee promotion. And of course 'he' scores to keep us down.

I dont understand why we play Peterborough twice before play some teams once. Happy with our festive fixtures. Oxford and Sheffield United away.

Peterborough at home on the first day for the third season running. The fixtures aren't manipulated... honest.

Got an excuse for when you don't sell out at least!!
Bubble trip should be enough of an excuse, also the fact we don't sell out anywhere ever. Except QPR that one time.

I should be going, but now I'm not sure if I'll be able to depending on uni. Sucks.

Also, Shrewsbury away again first game of the season? Ffs how shite.

Having just glanced through the fixtures, there is literally no fixture for Vale that stands out as exciting for this coming season

The Rob Page Derby. Both grounds will be absolutely bouncing, packed away ends, maybe a few flares/smokebombs.

Ironically, no side considers Vale as exciting either, so it's not just you.

For us, Southend first up should generate quite a bit of interest, so that'll be good. Rest of August looks like it's set up for a decent start, Bury and Swindon at home, followed by Scunthorpe and Shrewsbury away.

Charlton away on Easter Monday looks fun, and last day at Northampton isn't a terrible one either (in terms of distance). Long midweek away trips are less than last season too, Chesterfield being the only one that's a bit annoying. Only one home game in December is a bit shit though, as is being away at Peterborough on boxing day.

Bizarrely, there will be plenty of Vale fans wanting to get one over Page but I can't imagine any of the above happening

My comments weren't an attempt to belittle other clubs, I am fully aware of Vale's stature within this division so no need for you to become all offended by it. I was more referring to the lack of any clubs local to us where there is a bit of needle (let's face it we will all miss the Vale-Crewe threads on here), and also those fixtures that can result in a decent weekend away and maybe those fallen 'giants' who sometimes drop to this level for a season giving fans of us little clubs the chance to see our teams play in larger grounds etc

Both Pish at home and a visit to Sixfingers stadium in the first month, two home games over Xmas / New Year and an Easter awayday in Sarfend. Also the AFC away game is on a work day giving a perfect excuse not to go. Can't grumble at any of that.

Pretty meh fixtures.

AFC Wimbledon at home on the opening day, be interesting to see the sort of following they will bring.

Vale away on Boxing day, probably the standout fixture of the season.

Oxford away on NYD - no thanks. Would have preferred a home game to mix it up.

Dons last game of the season, massive MEH.

Also pissed off that we have Bradford, Coventry and Shrewsbury away all in the last month of the season.

So instead of there being something on those games, no doubt we will be 14th, with our minds on the beach and our followings will take a massive hit.

Ours aren't too bad, a good run in, home for the start, Boxing Day and NYE, Rochdale to end. A tough start away wise though, Peterborough, MK, Gills and Millwall first up

The good thing about having Bolton, Sheff Utd etc. on a Tuesday night is that I'm now considering the likes of Vale and Chesterfield as new grounds to visit this season.

I hate League One already.

Ours aren't to bad, Charlton and Bristol on Saturday's, finish with Fleetwood away so could be a weekend in Blackpool. Only disappointing one is Millwall on a Tuesday.

OOOh, we have to play every team twice, home and away at different junctures over the season. Fascinating.

With all league One teams now confirmed for the 2016/17 season, which fixture are you most looking forward to?

I would say Bolton at home is the first fixture I'll be looking out for.. Nailed on to be moved to a lunchtime kick off but Gigg will be rocking. Have a feeling everyone will turn out for this game, hopefully we get a result. The away game will still be decent but with the Macron being out of town with no pubs nearby it lessens the enjoyment somewhat.

Also will be looking forward to the Bristol Rovers away game.. Not the best ground but if the weathers right it will be a great day out on the piss. Same with Millwall, Charlton and Wimbledon.

Let us hope this is the case and the pigs/owners don't ruin things with a fecking stupid seating idea for the game.
