So flicker this week says Bury have a bottom four budget.

What a troll.

Discuss this outlandish remark and talk about other budgets in this league.

Karl Robinson 'likes' the Bury budget announcement

Definitely one of the biggest in the league, probs only Sheff Utd and Wigan bigger. Will go down pretty dramatically when Forde, Lee Martin and Williams leave in the Summer.

As previously hinted, first thing that popped into my head when reading that (unbelievably bollocks) bbc article was Karl "Miracle Worker" Robinson.

Flitcroft must be high as a kite if he thinks anyone, let alone Bury fans, will believe that steaming pile of shite.

Also, another example of the 'Lancashire calculator' which works out not only attendances but budgets too

We have a budget of £14.50, our players are on 5p a week!!! We can't compete with anyone anywhere.

Whereas in Bradford you get a free season ticket when you buy a calculator. :£

Our budget is around the £1m-£1.2m mark I believe.

Oh and as for Bury, they've probably done what other money bags clubs have done and given players low weekly wages but instead gave them massive signing on fees.

I think ours was downgraded to £1.7 million with Smurf saying that would be it... Then we signed Hooper and Alnwick and loaned Inniss so probably around the £2 million mark.

I imagine it will be one of the higher ones with the likes of Wellens, Chaplow and Williams on the books but not really that bothered tbh.

The biggest it has been for a number of years. Circa £3m.

To be fair to him he said we'd got the 2nd lowest and Wigan the lowest.

Daft sods clearly got it upside down.

£2m seems very low for Coventry.

In the accounts up to June 2014 we had an annual staffing cost of £12,402,000 (including management & youth team)
Clearly this will have dropped significantly with relegation but I imagine it'll still be north of 5 or 6 million.

I'm finding it hard to believe myself, we're told its similar/slightly down on last season which was just over 2 million yet our squad is probably 10 times better than last season. Mowbray said this week it was an average budget, around top 10

ours definitely has gone up this season, no idea what to though. I would put us firmly in bottom 10 budgets

I doubt we'll be paying a lot of Armstrongs, Kents, Murphys or Cole's wages. After that who would be on a lot?

Your probably right, just shows how poor Pressley was with his budget to create one of the worse Coventry teams we've ever seen. I'd guess the top paid players are Fleck, JOB and Reda now.

I agree. Loanees are never on a great deal. Impressed with Cov this season. Unless it just shows how shit Pressley was.....

It's a bit of both. Pressley was wank at assembling a squad, whereas Mowbray is ace at it.

We are the real bottom 4 budget candidates.

Our budget is about £1.4m. Up from last year, but still one of the lowest in L1 (or L2 for that matter!!)

Last year ours was £1.7m. Jettisoning our high earners and bringing in a number of cheapies, I'd expect it to be closer to £1.2m this season.

No idea what ours is. We are very guarded about this stuff ( like our away attendances )

I imagine it's low given we make an operating profit each year on 3000 gates.

No idea what ours is, my guesstimate would be around 1.3m - 1.4m, Wembley money could have a hand in that though, depending on how much we got and how much was put into the playing budget.
