I don't really see any logic behind starting Rooney.
Don't be a bellend David.
Wilshere's just started training so he should hopefully also be out injured for the Euros.
Not sure they'd have done a great deal better, think their problems run a lot deeper than Delph leaving. Being in a struggling Villa team may have actually been worse for him.Their captain abandoning ship just before the start of the season to sit in City's bench probably had a big influence on Villa's season.
It's irking me now. Rose and Walker have played extremely well as attacking full backs for Spurs all season. If we play, as I suspect, in a diamond, then we are going to need full backs of attacking quality to provide a genuine threat from wise. I like Clyne but he's not better offensively than Walker. Rose, previously being a left winger, is very useful in the final third. I know full backs are meant to defend first but I'm going into this tournament with the mindset that our defence is not going to be one of the best anyway so to do well we're going to have to be very offensive and score a fair few. We really could have drop Jagielka for Walker. Bad call Roy if that leaked sheet is true.
I imagine the following then:
---------------------Hart
Clyne---Smalling---Cahill-----Bertrand
----------------------Dier-----------------------
---------Henderson-Wilshere-------------
-------------------------Alli---------------------
---------------Kane----Rooney-----------
