So...its that time again. Well to pick the UK Entry anyway!

For the first time since 2010 the public will have the chance to pick the United Kingdom`s entry in a change of thinking by the BBC.

Also whats people`s thoughts on the new Voting System this year?

You can see the 6 acts vying to represent us on BBC4 on Friday Night at 19.30 in Eurovision: You Decide!

You can see the 6 acts at the link below (scroll down)

The actual Contest is on the 14th of May in Sweden

It's on a Thursday? Thought it was usually on the weekend, will have to think of something to do that evening now.

Radio 2 played all the songs today. Some semi-decent songs in the running. but nothing that would win it. The final is on Saturday May 14th and the semi-finals are on 10th and 12th May. Thankfully we have a bye to the final.

Don't think we're going to achieve much with any of them. Darline probably the best of the bunch.

How bland is that selection?

Led Zep on the radio as I type this...if only we could send them.

So its Joe and Jake then....

Could have been worse I suppose. They seemed to have an awesome time on stage.

I'll be spending my time in a much more entertaining fashion by holding a lighter flame to my sphincter for a few hours.

Looking forward to it as always. Get pissed and have a laugh. Hopefully we have a couple of decent acts on like Sebastian Telier for France, or Lordi for Finland a few years back.

Watched the Semi tonight. Absolutely loved the Russian entry, power-camp at its finest, superb visuals. Needs to be stronger on vocals on Saturday though.

As an unashamed fan of pop music, this evening I will be enjoying the entries from France, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Ukraine and Australia, as these are all what we call 'banging tunes', yeah. Criminal shame that San Marino didn't get through the semi-finals. A Turkish man called Serhat, changeling the dear-departed Prince with a bright purple suit, looking like a creepy uncle at a wedding.

Estonia sadly also didn't get through the Semi Final process. I saw him on Twitter described variously as having 'the eyes of a serial killer', 'the look of a young Michael Gove', and 'Draco Malfoy'. I urge you to have a look and judge for yourselves:

I liked Russia, Australia and Georgia best, thought the UK entry was decent too. No idea how Sweden is so high, that was bloody awful.

Yeah. Loved the new voting system but they took ages to announce them which pissed me off.

Disappointed with the winner but at least its in Europe unlike Australia. Moe about the message of the song than anything else of course. Glad Russia didnt win too much like Mans last year IMO.

Also BTW what the fuck was our so called panel of experts doing giving Georgia 12 points? What the?!

Sad to see Lithuania only got 200 and somehow Sweden finshed above France.

Great standard this year. A real improvement on recent contests.

Not sure I agree. There wasn't the absolute dirge you normally get but it was so bland I thought.

Like the new points system though. Added a bit of drama.

I thought it was really bland as well. Lots of samey ballads. Needed more over the top campy Europop that seems to have been missing the last couple of years.

I also liked the new points system. Built tension up until the end. It was also interesting to see the differences between the jury votes and the public votes. The discrepancies between Poland's scores was a very strange one.

I suppose its a matter of oponion. I enjoyed it much more than 2014 and 2015 where I pretty much fell asleep in the middle of the performances!

Yes Poland was a very weird one. Cant explain the discrepancies there at all.

Agree with C&B and SUTSS. Not a single song stood out to me (although a lot of them I only saw the snapshot). Really dull.

I don't think it's any coincidence that our top scorers in the televote all have large immigrant communities.

If the EU dissolved and everyone had to go back home it would make Eurovision fairer. It's the best argument I've seen for Leave so far.
