Since my problem ‘down below’ I’ve been off the booze totally.

I can confirm it doesn’t make you feel great. I still get headaches, I still fart magnificently and I still suffer, only occasionally, with brewer’s droop.

This tee total life ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.

I didn't run very well this morning. Not sure why.

Had a great nap though.

Happens like that sometimes. Weirdly I find my most energetic run is on Monday evening usually, which is my least energetic day at work. I guess it makes sense, I've rested over the weekend and the work thing is probably psychological more than it is physical. Plus, I usually drink on Sundays so Monday mornings are often groggy.

Joined Pure Gym this week. Does anyone want to kindly suggest me a workout routine? Nothing too hardcore, but focusing on building a bit of muscle. I have strong legs, but my upper body/core/back is pretty useless at the moment.

Pure Gym tells you how many people are in there now when you login on their site so i am obsessively updating a Google Sheet now every hour I'm near my computer in a bid to find the optimum time to attend.

This will give you strong functional strength. Ease into it or you'll write yourself off for days with doms

First exercise on each are taxing so take it easy or you won't be able to finish the other exercises. After a couple of weeks your body will get used to it and you'll be able to go harder for longer.

Do hill sprints too. Builds sweet power and will improve your runs.

I have found myself back on the treadmill this last few days. Only doing 25mins before I go out for work in a morning and about 35 in the evenings. I play 6 a side Monday and Wednesday's too so they're my most active days.

I've also bought a bike that I'm going to use to get to and from football which is about 3.5miles each way.

Main problem is my diet. I need to find something good to take to work everyday instead of crisps etc.

I'm trying keto and I've gotta say it's a bag of wank so far. KevinMcallister don't you do this now and then? Does it get better?

its a hard diet with the best rewards, key is because you aren't having carbs you need to make sure you drink 4 pints atleast of water per day to flush your toxins and water helps with the hunger too, keto is basically the fat burning diet as your body eats its excess fat to stay full of energy, water and vitamins from pills are key

I used to do it after xmas for 4 weeks max to burn 10lbs off that was it, I would not do it for long

With Keto your body loses sodium and with it you feel wank, apparently the best thing to have is a decent chicken stock/broth a couple times a day. Fuck all calories and puts sodium back in your system.

Been meaning to try this diet but I can't stay away from eating the wrong stuff.

I felt fine for the 4 weeks I did it, but I do like salt so maybe because I drank 3 litres of water and had salt on my veg etc I compensated for the sodium loss?

there probably are better healthier diets out there but I love keto because after the first day you don't feel hungry for the remaining time you are on it

Could quite possibly be the case, the not feeling hungry bit would be essential for me, I'm constantly hungry all the time.

I spoke far too soon. It's absolutely mint. It's hard to to describe, I feel sedate yet charged. As of Tuesday when I started I've dropped 5 pounds. You don't feel like your cutting either which is strange. Usually dropping pounds like that you'd feel it in your lifts but I've felt sweet.

It's actually nice to eat too. It's so filling I dont finish in one sitting & end up eating little bits as I go.

tomo menu will be something like;

Fried in butter eggs, sausages, coconut oil sautéed broccoli.

Duck breast, avocado, spinach, melted Camembert

Sauteed Mushrooms & small amount of runner beans in a double cream, Roquefort, black pepper sauce.

It doesn't feel like a diet at all tbh. You dont feel hungry whatsoever. Everyone should be on this I swear.

glad you like it , it's true the opening days are a nightmare of hunger pangs but day 3 onwards is energy and no hunger

best post xmas diet to do imo, definitely not long term though

I was only bad for the first day and that was because I had no energy. From then I've been sound. None of that keto flu you hear about.

Dunno about not being long term tbh. This is the best I've ever felt. Nowhere in the humanity guidebook does it say the ideal diet must consist of majority carbs.

I did some kind of trail on Sunday. I come from a small town in a South-East Parisian suburb and it is at the bottom of a few forests. So the race I did was 17km long (ok 16.8, who the hell is counting!) and it had little road to run on but lots of forests. It was awful. I don't mind a lot of uphill but the downhill side of things was downright dangerous. You could have seriously broken your ankle on some parts of the path.

I think I'll stick to half-marathons.
