So then, with the summer almost at an end now. Did anyone go on holiday this summer, if so - where? Did you enjoy it? Does anybody have any autmunal or winter holidays booked. I haven't been away this year, but I intend to go back to Florida at some point next year, whether that actually happens is up for debate but we will see.

Florida in October is a very risk time, but you will absolutely love the place for 2 weeks, so long as your prepared! Not been to New York, but it's definetely something I want to do.

I usually go to Cornwall every year, love the place! Where abouts are you?
We are in St Austell, which is great for a base. We've been to Looe, Polperro, Perranporth, Truro and Newquay so far this week. Think we're going to Newquay tomorrow too. Home on Saturday for the match.

I work way too much! So not managed as of yet this year to get away. Will be saving up for a blow out summer next year though I reckon...

Work 80 hours a week and Uni is starting too, so will be difficult, but surely will manage hehe...

I went to Gran Canaria for 10 days earlier in the summer. Absolutely loved it and made some lifetime friends. But now I've started college it seems so so far away. Hope everyone else had a good summer too, or maybe the holiday is over October or Christmas time for some people. Probably a good idea as you don't have to watch your team, or in my case, Preston, fall apart over the Christmas period like they seem to do every year :)
Hey ho, life goes on

I went to Rome at the start of the year, Milan/Venice for a long weekend in the summer and I'm going to Berlin in just under a month for four days.

I'm more of a city break person – I usually treat Glastonbury as my week-long holiday!

Well it appears I am off to San Diego next summer for a wedding! Here's hoping that things go well and we end up touring the Cali coastline for a couple of weeks!

Me and a few mates thinking of doing 7 days of travelling from Amsterdam to somewhere in Germany when Oktoberfest comes about.

Pricey but would be amazing.

I've not been but know a few people who have, beware Oktoberfest is a bit of a tourist trap in Munich and getting more expensive.

Berlin is great though, great nightlife. I've only been to Tresor of the big clubs which was amazing and I'm desperate to go back and try to get in Berghain.

Amsterdam is good too although Trouw closed recently which was meant to be good. I went to Escape, it was alright. I also watched my brother-in-law get spanked by 2 lesbian strippers in Banana Bar. Fun city.

Banana bar was my first strip club....I had a metal dido shoved in my mouth and then the stripper sat on my face. That place is truly incredible/expensive.

I've been to Amsterdam once already but barely went to the clubs. Chelsea were playing in the Europa League final and literally it was just a 2 day street party for Chelsea fans. Best 2 days of my life so far I reckon.

Going to New Zealand for a long weekend in February. Anyone ever been to the north island? In particular, the Coromandel Peninsula?

I'm going to Berlin in May. This was decided while watching Downfall.

Then we're going to swim the the boat from Oxfordshire down to Kingston/Richmond, and maybe even into the centre of London. That'll be a two week round trip but we'll still be going to work for about half of it (driving ahead, cycling back to the boat, then cruising up to where the car is - means we can still get to work while we're within reasonable commuting distance).

Berlin is a cracking city, infact Germany is a cracking place in general for a weekend away. Went to Berlin in November and had a top weekend - not cheap in places but certainly lively!

Going to Dusseldorf and Frankfurt next month too - taking in 2 games at Frankfurt/Hamburg and Darmstadt along the way. Also been talkined into going to Bern for the Everton game with a mate of mine who follows them - expensive month ahead.

Also got Ibiza booked with the lads in July and New York with the missus in September.

Did question why i'm so skint over christmas, but I think I know why!

Can agree about Berlin being fantastic. Good beer, currywurst and plenty to see and do. It's close to the perfect city.
