That performance from Rashford has to be one of the most overrated performances from an English player. Apart from the goal he was awful, the fact he got MOM is amazing.

He is 18 and he's a very good prospect, but it's way too soon for him to go to France.

I went to France when I was 11 on a school trip. My nephew is about 7 and has been to France several times. Marcus Rashford is 18. There's absolutely no good reason why youth should prevent you from going to France if you've got proper guidance. He's probably been already.

I thought your Walcott being better than Bale opinion stemmed from a deep hatred for anything Welsh - what is the actual reason?

What a goal by Hamsik against Germany. Sensational strike.

I think people are going to start to believe me when I say that Germany have no bottle and won't be up to much this summer.

Yeah but you also said Manchester City had won the league ridiculously early last season, you need to rebuild your reputation now!

Germany lost 4 of their last 6 now.
I'm sure they'll come good...

Germany are always shit in friendlies. Wouldn't read too much into it, you know what they are like.

Just seen Reus is out though. Injured. Podolski in as official mascot ahead of Bellerabi and Brandt.

The thing with Germany is that they seemingly use the friendlies to learn things. And it pays off.

Payets free kick v Cameroon. And the Pogba cross for Giroud. Delicious.

Wilshere/Milner aside I reckon that's Hodges lineup against Russia.

Portugal are starting Carvalho and Bruno Alves at CB. If we can't use our pace to exploit that defence we should give up.
Though being a friendly they'll probably sit deep. Some decent players in their lineup but a few out of position. Nani at striker?
Want to see how Rafa Silva gets on, he's the latest hype winger.

Rooney, Vardy and Kane picked to start by boring, unadventurous and defensive Roy Hodgson.

People seem quick to forget Dele Alli is only 20, coming off his first season in the top flight season and hasn't even broken 10 appearances for the national team. Hoddle criticising him for this temper seems a little harsh. Yes, its something he needs to work on, but it'll come with time and experience.

Pundits like Hoddle will tell him he needs to calm it down and control it, pundits like Souness will tell him it's a part of his game and he needs that 'fire in his belly' or some other such shit. Same happened with Rooney. They seem to need a Beckham/Simeone or Rooney/Ronaldo moment to make any change, and Beckham wasn't generally a petulant c***.

I think the defensive Spurs lads are having a good game. Rose especially, covering lots of ground.
