Saturday's match at Blackpool gave a chance to visit the North West's home of Jazz - Lancaster. After a good curry down the road, the Robert Gillow provided some excellent beer and a bunch of my generation of musicians who did justice to Peaches en Regalia alongside some more traditional offerings. Unfortunately, the brewery are taking the pub back in house and dropping the music so I'll have to check out the alternative venues next time we're up there.
I was rummaging through part of my Cd collection (the cd's I don't listen to section) and found this Karlheinz Miklin Trio cd, Welcome to the Club. It was recorded in Zabreb, and apparently only released over there. Here's the discogs entry - https://www.discogs.com/Karlheinz-Miklin-Trio-Welcome-To-The-Club/release/8349231
I think it's pretty good but I'm not an expert on Jazz so what do I know
