When aliens intercept video feeds of classic arcade games and misinterpret them as a declaration of war, they attack Earth, using the games as models. A team of old-school arcade players must save the day.

Online reviews are largely negative, but I enjoyed it.

GOD DAMN IT NOW EVEN PEOPLE ON HERE ARE SAYING IT'S GOOD.

I badly need to see The Jungle book now. I still haven't got around to see Batman vs Superman (though even as a huge nerd, I'm not sure I want to...) or Zootropolis (which is apparently awesome)... by the next time I have a chance to go to the cinema The Jungle Book will be out, and if I take much longer Captain America Civil War will be out as well. TOO MANY.
You should see both Zootopia and the Jungle Book. Both are excellent movies and I enjoyed them a lot.
As for BvS, I liked the movie but was disappointed by it. There are great things in the movie that should be experienced in the cinema but the pacing and the editing was not very good. What I loved about the movie was Batman, Ben Affleck could be my favorite Batman ever. His warehouse scene is something out of the Arkham games. I would tell you to get watch it and decide for yourself, it was a 6.5/7 out of 10 movie for me. I should probably see it again because there was a lot in the movie that you need to digest.

I only watched this last night as it was filmed in Wells where i live. It's not the first time i have seen this but it still makes me smile with some of the characters, the farmer who Angel can't understand reminds me of my mate Billy who i have known for nearly 20 years but still. have a job understanding what he's saying to me  9/10.

Saw this mentioned in goghlebox so on a whim checked Netflix and lo and behold it's there (only bloody one mind)

Watching it I realised... I have never seen this film from start to finish. Its a film everyone knows and I have seen so many parts of it I just assumed I had seen it

Anyway great 80s film... 9/10

Why would you pay the big bucks for the lovely Scarlett Johansson in your film and then merely have her voice a CGI snake?

Midnight Special - tedious film. Lots of characters staring at eachother and not saying much. Not the exciting sci fi film it's been marketed as.

Eddie the Eagle - disappointing. Most of the characters didn't seem real. I think only Eddie's dad seemed believable. Certainly no Cool Runnings or Mighty Ducks. Music was good though.

I bought the album, Fly. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who likes 80s music.

Honestly don't see the appeal of her, she is static, emotionless and not all that pretty imo, and her voice isn't particularly noteworthy either.

Most of the story was nonsense anyway, it was supposed to be like that, I think I read someplace Eddie himself said 95% of it was made up; maybe thats the reason the characters seemed unreal.

It is very good Grand Budapest Hotel, but you think Life Aquatic is better than Rushmore?

Still Alice.

Incredibly sad. Brilliant stuff by Moore. Worthy of the Oscar. Tough to watch someone endure that process of mental decay.

Beasts Of No Nation.

Story of a child soldier in an unnamed West African country.

Harrowing. Not sure I'd say I enjoyed it but I'm glad I saw it. Idris Elba was good although I thought he lost the accent here and there.

I've become a huge fan of Ralph Fiennes due to Grand Budapest.

Are you on about the snake? I feel this needs clarification.

So I actually got around to seeing The Jungle Book yesterday. And fuck me, they were right... it's actually a pretty damned great film. Suddenly, when I think of the old version, it just feels like it's a case of putting a bit of story together to get from song to song. This time around the story was a whole lot richer and the film benefited from that a lot. Throw in some awesome casting and differences (Kaa was brilliantly hypnotically terrifying, King Louie was fucking badass!) and all in all it's actually an awesome remake. I see a lot of people trying to say it's "better" than the original, and it probably is, but I'm not sure it needs to be looked at that way. One is a cartoon which is mostly about some great music, the other does a great job of telling a decent story.

Basically, it's everything a remake should be. Respects and pays homage to the original in places (mostly through the music, put to great use) while going in its own direction with its own voice.

Hyena Road - OK war film, some good battle scenes and the storyline was interesting but spent to long building the storylines with some pretty dodgy actors. 6.5/10

Haven't seen it so are there no songs in it?

As MSB said, there are two songs in it, but it's not really a musical, certainly not in the way that the original was.

I never get bored of watching this some of the scenes are just brilliant, James Brown as a preacher with the congregation singing, dancing and leaping everywhere always makes me smile, plus some great music throughout the film makes this a 10/10 for me.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
If the snake in Jungle Book doesn't have Winnie The Pooh's voice, I'm not interested, frankly.

The Good Dinosaur

Very good. Visually stunning. But Disney... Why do you have to kill a parent every time? You didn't need to. It didn't really add anything to the main story. Stop making me have to talk about death with a child.

Also, got halfway through The Martian last night.

Not a bad sci-fi film with Laurence Fishburne and Sam Neill but can't help feeling it ripped off some of the plot from other films of the same genre. 7/10.

Rosamund Pike get's a raping and the rapist goes to prison. Crazy bitch forms a relationship with him whilst he's in there so she can cut his bollocks off. The end.

It was shit. 4/10.
