Or you could look at it from a view that actually shows the incident. But why let the facts get in the way of a Gas fan being bitter about another refereeing correct decision? Clear elbow to the chin

Not sure about you, but you know the arm doesn't bend like that right?

That doesn't look like his elbow to me....

Even IF it was, how can you explain the referee basing his decision on an incident that no one saw? Team's like Plymouth encourage all players to start diving & to then stay down until the ref blows up.

I do love how you've clearly ignored my points though and have taken a very zoomed in pause from a mobile phone camera - and you're saying that it show's the actual fact? Keep going :fl:

Hahaha as much as I enjoyed the decision going against Peterborough like that it's not a red card in a month of Sunday's

I'll be honest I didn't actually read your post just saw the pictures and caught the general gist of another butthurt Rovers fan. You're all good fun really. It's only natural to be envious of those above you, especially after we were so diabolical at yours earlier in the season.

Shhhhhh, secretly I know it isn't a straight red.

But it is a body check off the ball, which is a yellow card. The bloke was already on a yellow card so the game would have remained the same.

Even Evans himself agreed the last minute penno, was indeed a penno. So at the end of the day all is well with the exception that bloke has a 3 match ban instead of a 1 match ban. (Assuming unsuccessful appeal).

You reckon you'll make the play offs then? That would have to be one of the best turn arounds in a season I can ever remember if you do. The only better one I can think of off the top of my head is Sunderland promoted from the Championship after being bottom after the first 5 games or something like that

Big game for us tonight, a must win really with no other teams around us playing.

A win tonight would move us into 5th place going into the weekend against an out of form Scunthorpe at The Valley on the same day Plymouth play Pompey and Rotherham head to Wigan. Win our next two and we are potentially within a point of Rotherham in 4th.

Next two games are a big opportunity for us to stake our claim for the play-offs.

COYR!

Huge for both of us. Lose this and we're probably done.

I now realise why fans were talking about Nick Powell being a diving cheat now at least. He’s gone off injured from one of his dives.

Charlton blow their game in hand. Hands us some initiative but can't lose to Plymouth on Saturday.

A decent 0-0 against a surprisingly long-ball Blackburn. Weird how you can have the leagues best player as your playmaker, yet barely give him the ball in the time he was on the pitch. Blackburn were relatively toothless really, expected more of an onslaught than what materialised. Indeed, we had the best chance of the game when Parker was clean through, but a terrible touch let him down. Ref didn't give us anything at all of any contention, so to see out a draw against what were the table toppers + assistance from the officials is pretty pleasing. 51 points now, another win and we're more or less guaranteed a trip to Accrington next season.

Hurrah.

If we beat Portsmouth on Saturday then I think we'll do it. I'm pretty confident going into the game, we've won something like 11 out of 12 home games and the loss was against Wigan. The bookies still have us at almost 2/1 every game though which has been good fun.

Only thing is after Saturday 4 of our last 5 games are away including 2 consecutive Tuesdays to Rochdale and Scunthorpe. Win our 2 home games vs Pompey and Rotherham and then average a point in the 4 away games and we should be there with everyone having to play eachother and dropping points.

Thought your lot looked good for a charge on the basis of the performance at HP (first half especially). Seems to have dropped off a bit?

Yeah like someone said I remember Barnsley coming 6th after being bottom at Xmas and getting promoted. That'll take some beating.

Interesting game, I'll definitely keep an eye on it. 2 teams who are both bang on form right now.

Yeah it pretty much all ended for us at your place unfortunately. That's ok though, we've got a generally decent squad and we're improving season after season on a bottom 16 budget. I'm just hoping we can finish top 10. With teams below us having caught up recently we're in danger of finishing between 10th-16th. At least if we finish 10th we can attract some good players in the summer. 16th looks like a bad season and we may struggle to bring in quality in the summer

I did not see it real time as I was watching the ball, but looking at the various videos it is a yellow card and he would have gone anyway and would have a one-match ban. Overall, I thought the ref was not good at managing the game, a far worse “tackle” was on Ness. And two of ours were a tad lucky to stay on too. Taylor was pretty brainless in getting his second booking, time wasting given Carey has missed several I get, but putting a divot in the penalty spot is brainless. It was the only good decision the Lino in the lyndhurst made all game.

Completely agree, really looking forward to this. Have a real respect for Pompey following the recent games in league 2. We will be a bit tight on time as one of my lads has a 12.30 kick off in Horrabridge so we’ll be rushing back to Home Park.

I still can't believe that our game is a massive play-off six-pointer after the reverse fixture at Fratton Park when Plymouth were genuinely terrible, lost to a comedy goal and I thought Adams was taking them down, bearing in mind we were shite in that game too.

Only 5 of our last starting 11 started that game. We were awful that day though. Completely different team now, can't wait for Saturday, feels great to be having these big games after years of slogging it out in League 2 with Morecambe and Stevenage

I'm going on Saturday, can't wait. Should be a good game, and it's hugely important to both teams. Fancying a 2-0 win to Portsmouth.

Should be a cracking atmosphere Saturday. Two inform sides, most of the injurys have cleared up. Its going to come down to whoever does a good job of stopping Pitman or Carey. Both can have very quiet games, but take your eye off any of them and they can win a game. I can't see it finishing 11 v 11 though!! I can see Nathan Thompson being targetted as he is always walking a tightrope as he'll be on a yellow card in the first half and hour I expect!

Some very big games tomorrow, ours included. Cannot believe we are still kind of in with a shout of the Play-Offs considering our form. Our form since the turn of the year makes for grim reading. Can't see us getting anything out of the Charlton game but I can hope.

Interesting table, surprised to see Gillingham so low

Didn't realize it was quite that bad at Bradford though, bleedin' hell
