I haven't recognised half of what's been posted in this thread, but I remember that one. A true classic.

An adaptation of Jupiter, movement IV from the Planets suite. Lyrics a poem by Sir Cecil Rice. The hymn is called Thaxted, and should be the English national anthem. Fuck Jerusalem.

I think I agree. I'd never heard Jerusalem until the cricket people started singing it. I am NOT a religious man, but I have always loved that tune (Thaxted)

Our finest moment was singing "You Are My Brother" in year six, whose chorus goes:

LIFT YOUR BANNERS HIGH

We'd change "banners" to "bananas", complete with a pelvic thrust and big dick hand gestures. Teachers weren't so keen I recall.
