Wow JJ flying. Watch his goal v Fulham tonight. He starts the goal with a forward pass deep in his half playing left back and gets thru 1 on 1 with the keeper

He really is having an amazing season, I know we have a lot of good fullbacks coming through but surely has to be in with a shout of an England call up just for his flexibility alone.

Thanks for lending us Gabriel Osho. Although he's only had three games, he appears to be that rarity at Rochdale - a defender who concentrates on defending...

So whats the feeling on the LBC dome reversal? Very odd theyd allow Planning Permission then deny the lease on the land.

Seems to me they are putting the Club in its place and flexing their muscle after the complaints from the Club on allowing the Aldi Store. Or is there another issue? Shame as the relationship seemed tight before and a good fit for the Town as a whole.

Muttterings of internal divisions within the Labour group in the council driving this, which could be for the reasons you’ve mentioned or any number of other things knowing what internal party politics is like, especially at that level.

The local MPs, also Labour, are trying to get feedback on the decision with a view to putting the pressure on to get the decision re-reviewed but this is classic council politics with all the ego that entails at play.

Now out for the season having torn his ACL. Gutted for him, would certainly have been in contention for England call ups and the like after the season he has had.

See theres public movement on Power Court plans today with more information at either end of the Stadium aspect of the development.

Homes increase more than 100% to 1,200. Is this now becoming the funding arm of the overall project instead of Newlands Park. Little seems to be mentioned on that aspect of the project that intially was billed as the enabling side to Power Court.

Whats the average price of a modern one or two bedroom flat these days in a Town Centre fancy development with amenities.

Was mentioned in the programme notes the other night that the development is going to lose much of its retail and office space, being replaced with "logistic space" - so space for an Amazon wharehouse or something like that! Probably not the "gateway to the town" that was envisaged but more in keeping with a post pandemic world probably.

My old flat before I moved out of town in 2018 was bought for £155k in 2015 and worth about £190k now. In the town centre, next to Parkway station, flats are going for around £200-250k, so I reckon all of the homes could turn over £1/4bn of revenue at least. Part of me thought that there would be at some point saturation, but there never seems to be a shortage of housing need in the south east.

Power Court is still going to be one of the most iconic stadiums outside of the Premier League. The plaza outside the stadium will be buzzing on a matchday. The rotation of the stadium probably 60-80 degrees looks even better.

Got to say, a little disappointed with the removal of office space and retail as it was such a striking and ambitious project and I don't buy the fact that people are going to give up the habit of a lifetime by not shopping, but it is definitely long term sustainable.

Kind of ironic that the retail space is being cut back given that was what all the fuss was about with C&R during the approval process.

Is that what the stadium will initially look like, or with some of the additional capacity added do you know?

Am sure the previous designs had one end with a stand quite a bit lower than the others
I presume the design has been adjusted slightly, but it may be just an optical illusion... certainly the two ends look higher than before but I don’t mind that. Clearly there is the need for efficiency. The stadium will be built with 23,000 seats with 5,500 blocked off until the council give approval that the traffic plan works.

Was going to ask Oaky if he had any memories as to my shame I had not heard of him before and he seems a bit more keenly aware of our history (although not sure if I’m doing him a disservice going that far back or not!)

Was speaking to my dad on the phone last night and he was very sad to hear the news, was one of his first Town heroes alongside Bruce Rioch.

Ive heard the name but not like Rioch's. We have lost a few we've all seen play Im sure like Preecey, Sealy, Grealish. Alan West was prob one of the more senior players when i started to go.

Seems its cheerio Collo. Fantastic signing who has run through the Leagues with us, with his goals a major contribution destroying L2 and L1.

He also gets a move to a bigger Club higher up the food chain and if it comes off Cardiff a good fit for him under Mick McCarthy. Good for him. He deserves it and I hope he is getting a decent pay raise. An ovation is due at The Kenny next season.

Although its the same Mick McCarthy who wouldn't select him for Ireland.

72 goals in 181 games. Would've liked him to get to the 100 but was always going to be difficult to get to that landmark.

not a bad return considering he was second fiddle to hylton on quite a few occasions...
but doubt he would get a stand named after him...along side our mickey harford and brian stein...
