OK i have been doing some serious research and can confirm come May there will be 5 teams in the title race.

Man City will have to have a run of bad form to level this out of course and this could start this weekend with a feeble draw or loss.

With Everton looking like they will be a force to be reckoned with and UTD and Arsenal fighting for a top 4 place plus 1 from Swansea, Chelsea, Spurs or Leciester this will be the the most open race yet.

Liverpool could with some decent additions in January make a late surge for Europe, this is unlikely with their Europa League commitments however.

your thoughts?

I'll bet you £20 by May 1st, there are less than five times capable of winning the title?

This is shaping up to be the most boring title race ever. From the games I've seen and the highlights I've watched, City have been a cut above the rest even at this point. You can write Chelsea off now as they're so far behind, Arsenal aren't nearly consistent and clinical enough and United under Van Gaal are very jekyll and hyde for me. Who does that leave you with? Leicester? Everton? Liverpool? Not a cat in hells chance.

City's rick against Juve might knock them a bit, and their lack of back up that suits their style of play if Aguero gets injured might do them up at some point, but at this stage it's hard to see anyone but them walking it. (Please god I hope something happens though, don't want another procession like last year).

This what makes me laugh with you lot. you already predicting a City walk over 5 games in............and are quick to say Leicester won't challenge for the top 6 because were only 5 games in..........you can't have both............plus Leicester have a great manager, we will see.

Between City and Chelsea. City will have a patch of misfortune/poor form/Kompany having a stroke, whilst Chelsea grind out 14 home wins dressed as the little horse.

Probably.

Either way, I may grant you Arsenal as an outsider, and Manchester United too, but anything beyond those teams just isn't going to make the top four. They're miles off - Spurs, Liverpool, Everton and whoever else climbs the greasy rungs of the form table - and I'd wager the top four is settled with a fistful of games to spare.

go on then, 2 x £10 bets, anymore and i won't be able to afford my TV Subscription.
Is that your subscription to that Sky Sports News shit you bang on about?

So far City look a cut above the rest, but it is just impossible to predict who will win the league so early on. I heavily doubt 5 teams will be in the title race come the end of the season (i'm not betting on that by the way) , infact I would be surprised if 3 teams were in with a chance of winning the league come May.

City look a class of their own, while both Arsenal and United already are in the top 4.
Chelsea likely to climb. Don't think the top will be any more exciting than usual.
Maybe the fight behind will be closer though.

I fancy whoever wins the Premier League this year will have the lowest points total of any team to win the premier League!
