...

That main stand holds 2000. I'd say there for 1650 in there alone. Plus 250 behind the goal, plus lincolns 350, it was around about right.

...
Fair few more than 250 in the South Stand I'd think, even with the BT camera gantry. Didn't find the attendance surprising and there were plenty heading up the hill quite early when I arrived.

Bromley's number 7 has just put his head in at one of our players infront of the ref and got away with it.

Terrible ref.

Game was terrible too.. we only came to life for 20mins and gifted broms there goal. Both teams had chances to win it at the end

Todays ending at FGR was easily head and shoulders the best ending at a non league match this season, us stuffing leaders Plymouth was good enough but seeing the FGR result was the icing on the cake! :2thumb:

The best I can say about that is that the support**** was good, even without the drum

We nearly did an FGR today. Absolutely cruising against a terrible Solihull, 2-0 up, hit the bar 2 or 3 times, and looking at a hammering.
Then they scored a great goal out of nothing, that inspired them to become a very good side all of a sudden. A few too many moaners in their side, and no real stand-out performers, but they battled hard and were unlucky not to draw.

Not lost in ages now, and a win at home on Tuesday night will possibly put us in the Top 3.

Ugwu looked class and when Woking went ahead the result was never in doubt. No trotting out the usual part time strugglers in a full time league shite either, Woking gave us a real humbling.

Just had a quick glance over at the National South. East Thurrock, Hungerford, Whitehawk, Concord. Fuck me no. Not again.

Knew November would either make or break our season, and sadly it's the latter. Wasn't there today so can't comment on the game but from what I've read we were shocking, and really missed Bellamy. Massive game Tuesday against Eastleigh and we need 3 points to get us back on track.

Big game on Tuesday at Forest Green, hopefully we can replicate what Lincoln did today. With Norwood and Tollitt back from suspension and Connor Jennings nearing full fitness, we're only going to get stronger. Big up Micky Mellon.

3018 at Crabble is impressive, even if we did give tickets away to kids, especially given that its an unglamorous fixture, on the back of a disappointing defeat and one of 3 home games in 6 days. Atmosphere was fantastic, new stand was impressive and the football was entertaining.

First goal came off Moses, but I wouldn't try to take it away from Ricky Miller. Moses Emmanuel was outstanding, as was MOM Mitchell Pinnock, Sammy Moore and Ricky Miller.

Honestly think we'll be fine if/when Miller goes. Lafayette/Pinnock/Emmanuel/Marsh/Modeste are all brilliant attacking players at this level and all have goals in them.

Guiseley weren't very good but had a few chances and some flashes of ability. Today was the best football I've seen Dover play this season in terms of flair and quality - could've been 5 or 6 IMO.

Very happy with today. 3 points off second. Wow. Just what we all needed after Thursday's disappointment.

Rumours we're looking at Miller. Must admit I don't know that much about him other than he scores goals, but he didn't look that great on thursday against a League Two defence (albeit one containing Leon Legge, who is a monster) - reckon he'd make the step up? I'd imagine he could flourish in League Two, but League One?

We were awful today, worst performance of the season by some distance. Got a point though so happy enough considering that.

Shaw scored again, from the spot.

Think we were fortunate to win, a draw was maybe fairer but we were much improved in the second half after a very poor first 45. Couldn't see anything other than a comfortable home win before the game, at 2-0 I was unfortunately right. Thankfully this Lincoln team is made of sterner stuff and we do not know what it's like to give up. It's a shame the best midfielder in the league gifted us our first!

Don't agree with Cooper about our set pieces and that we score from them regularly, for me we are usually poor at them, wouldn't mind guessing many teams score far more from set pieces than we do. Still when you have Rhead, Raggett and Waterfall, you always have a chance. I didn't see much of the total football from FGR either.

One final word on the support, thought the Imps fans were outstanding in terms of numbers and vocal backing. I do think we have the best fans in the league in terms of support. Thought we may get 200-250 for an early TV game with it being a long journey, but 345 is an excellent turnout. Just really glad the boys managed to get a smash and grab at the death to keep all the chasing teams in the pack happy.

11 games unbeaten now. UTI

Shaw was the only player that merited picking up his wages.

McCarthy said that nothing would change with Sharps leaving, but that was as bad as anything under Burr last season.

Seems I wasn't far off the mark with my comments last week.

Meanwhile the top 6 seem to be slowly pulling adrift of everyone else. Norwood and Tollitt back for us vs FGR, Connor Jennings not far behind. A repeat of last years result would make the top of the table very interesting,

Apparently he scored a 30 min hat trick against you guys in a pre-season, behind closed doors friendly, which was one of two games in the summer we could never find any official report of!

Dagenham, Lincoln & Eastleigh are gonna have a field day with our defence and midfield.

Bring on the relegation zone

Well quite the turn-around. Our best attacking players - Noble, KMB - were not at their best for some reason. Wouldn't say it was Lincoln's high pressing game particularly (which was impressive and all energy for 90mins - particularly the 2nd 45) they just seemed off the boil. Thought we were comfortable and just took the foot off the gas.

What was impressive from Cowley is that he knows his players, knows their limitations and strengths and doesn't try to make them play outside they're comfort zone. They just play to their strengths - long ball to Rhead e-v-e-r-y-t-I-m-e, Arnold waiting for errors, Woodyard muscling the midfield, keep the tempo up from throws to catch out anyone switched off, harrying everyone for 90mins, and finish your chances. A lot to be admired.

Fair play we switched off for the final 6-7 mins and payed for it.

Reassessed who I would take from Lincoln - Woodyard much stronger in person physically (looks more slight on TV which is weird) and um well ... I'd play Raggett and Pinnock together .. two lefties.

As for total football. Cooper definitely changed tactics for Lincoln from what we've seen. We didn't play out from the he back, which is the first time I've seen that this season. And it worked for 87mins (bar Noble's error). But he does change tactics every game for each different team so that not unusual.

Came away really disappointed. But less so now. Think we'll bounce back from this ... hopefully.
