I wanted to add this to the Coronavirus thread but I dont think you can add a poll to an existing thread.
Anyway in your opinion how should this season be resolved. Do it on your opinion not how you think your club will vote.
Dont go on "if we get more money" etc. If this is your answer choose the wait until fans return.
Voting closes Monday.

You forgot to add ‘continue to the end of the season, whenever that is but vote Chesterfield out of the league’.

Only joking Lester ;)

There’s going to be an obvious split between National and Regional but Option 1 is the only one for me.

Null and Void would be a flippant disregard of the time and money spent by both club and fans alike, PPG with 20 games played would be farcical and I’d be embarrassed to benefit from it and waiting for spectators could be any time frame.

Option 1, obviously.

I'd play on until everyone at least gets to 30 games then PPG the rest.

Yeah it has to be option 1. As Soup says you need to have played at least 30 games before PPG, for us that would be achieved by 16th March so another 6 weeks (if no more postponements).

Reluctantly option 1, but if we pile up much more debt we are heading for a hat-trick of tits-up.

It's a no-brainer, play on, until The Shaymen are promoted. :woot: :bdick:

I voted carry on, even though it probably isn't good for us.

Option 4 for me, but there needs to be some sort of split between the leagues.

NL may be able to cope at elite level, and it's important to keep promotion / relegation with the FL, so let the full-time sides there carry on, and any part-time sides if they wish, but with no relegation.

NLN and NLS needs null and voiding. Forcing small clubs to take on loans just so richer clubs can carry on the season, and making players who have other jobs travel across the country for no good reason is just stupid. Some clubs may object, but tough, deal with it. York, for example, with them wanting to start the season without fans as they could afford to, then kicking up a stink when they didn't get a bigger chunk of the grant, and now wanting to carry on again, should surely understand if other clubs in NLN tell them to shove it.

I think the season should be carrying on.the virus is not postponing 6 games a week anymore.

As I said earlier though. I don't think the North and South will carry on.

The National level will vote to carry on I reckon.

Now does anyone have any players? We are on our 8th striker of the season

If the north or south don’t carry on and there is no relegation this season Chesterfield might furlough their whole squad.

We wouldn’t be able to play any games then silly. We’re going to win the league according to Wrexham fans, can’t miss this opportunity..

Play on with James Rowes furlough army!!

I voted option 1. Now's the time for positivity, just shy of 600,000 vaccinated today, let's get the season finished, hopefully with some fans in grounds by the seasons end.

Is the vote a straight majority? You’d imagine the ‘play ons’ have it in the National League, if so.

Olly Bayliss tweeted a list earlier of those that have already made their feelings known. Was about 7/8 in favour and 1 against (Dover).

NLN the top half are keen and the bottom half don’t want, couldn’t get a much clearer split which is funny. NLS is a mixed bag with seemingly more appetite to crack on too, so much so they look to be chasing a separate vote to NLN. God knows how that works if one league continues and the other doesnt.

Option 1 is probably the best option. We’re too far gone to null and void, too early to PPG and who knows when spectators will be allowed back?

Why are Wrexham abstaining? Surely it matters to them whether we carry in or not? Or have they chucked toys out the pram about the lack of funding for not being English?

If it goes to the wire and there is 1 vote in it, could be interesting

Put it this way, if Maidenhead want to continue then I don't see many in step 1 voting against. It'll just be the bottom 3 most likely plus maybe Wealdstone.

I think abstaining is the right thing to do given that the grants/loans/funding debate is irrelevant to them.

I can't see the vote being close at step 1, we're likely going to play on.

Don't think any chance of crowds this season, its only the old getting vaccine at the moment, likely to be maybe over 50's by end of March/April time, be a long time before enough of the population have it to allow crowds back, probably next season now.

I want the clubs to vote whichever way is the best financially for them, which I’m sure they’ll do.

From a fans point of view I was a ‘cancel the season’ merchant until recently, but I now think the point which says that may endanger the promotion places to the league is a good one. Carry on if possible.

I voted null & void.

I feel we haven't been given a proper Torquay away day yet, always facing them on a Tuesday in winter. We need an August weekender down there before they go up.

I voted Null and Void too. This whole season is a farce, should never have started in the first place.
