Hmm, Paul Scholes featured in the first issue, and Gary Neville was in the second one. Surprised the publishers didn't feature another ex Man U in the latest issue ;)

I note that it is actually the Non-League Magazine for the North West.

This could be of interest to Blackpool supporters fairly soon.

Cant recommend this enough. Have a friend who is a Matlock Town fan and I managed to borrow it from him and I throughly enjoyed it. Its incredibly detailed and very accurate.

Great news that it is now going National. Think I may subscribe now.

Is there space for another non-league publication? I occasionally get the Non League Paper and enjoy it, but beyond the leagues I follow, I skim over the rest, Unless there's decent coverage of Paul Scholes or Gary Neville, obvs.

I dont bother with the NLP and try to take an active interest in as many leagues as possible to a point obviously. This looks much more detailed that the snippets of the NLP that I have seen.

I do get this. The NLP provides snippets in the sense that it's not much more than a mention and you get no real information.

You see a scoreline in the listings......Atletico Tregony 5 - 0 Real Penzance, then the league table, and then there's a little piece that just says "Second-placed Atletico Tregony put five past sorry Real Penzance".
And you sit there and think...."They didn't even have to leave their own page to create that story! Why is there nothing on Tregony filling their new 35,000 seat stadium or the fact that Penzance are linked with Jose Mourinho?"

It looks a really decent effort, but I can't see it lasting twelve months. If it goes national, it will no doubt incur extra expenses and the content will get watered down. If it stayed regional, then surely there isn't a big enough market to make it pay?

I imagine that would be because the NLP is a weekly newspaper instead of a monthly magazine. :dk:

Looks like a toss-up between FGR and Eastleigh for the worst fan/s (delete as appropriate) award this season then.
