I have cousins from Swindon, and they are a pair of 6 fingered fucktards, and the town centre is a bit shit as well
Correction. The town centre is 100% shit - it is a truly dreadful place

The outlying areas are great, though. 10 minutes in the car and the town centre seems a million miles away.

Engineering genius?
More like a 5 year old designed it using a Spirograph.
View attachment 2603

You are just jealous that your town doesn't have one (a fancy roundabout that is).

And you probably never got to have a Spirograph as a 5 year old.

You are just bitter about life in general aren't you? :)

Didn't need a Spirograph mate, we just used to dip a hedgehog in paint and spin it round on a bit if string.
Beauty was that when we had finished we could make a nice stew out of our Spirograph

Excuse me, last year our local council spent £300k on a Japanese themed roundabout, with a wee little bridge and everything.

I think you need to check your facts maaaaaaayte.

Edit: which is slightly better value for money than Luke Rooney.

On that note, what the fuck is the point of having a bridge on a roundabout?

Do Swindon have a bridge on their roundabout?

No.

Thus we are superior to them.

Hmmm I worry about the thought process of putting a bridge on a roundabout. The meeting to decide that must have been in a room absolutely jam packed full to the rafters of class A substances.

Can you buy glass hammers in shops in Gillingham? It sounds like a weird place.

It sounds like a weird place.

It is. I have no loyalty to the place, wasn't born there, never lived there, wouldn't go there ever except for watching the Gills, but they are my local side.

My last home game against Col Ewe I walked from the station to the ground (a 10 minute walk), one mattress on the pavement, one used pair of boxer shorts in the middle of the road, one man talking to his dog as though the dog would respond and a mother berating her child for be "a fuckin' little caaahnt".

Having said all that, my home town (Sittingbourne) is also a total khazi.

You think you have problems? My home town has more pikeys than Swindon and Gillingham combined.

That said, it is much less of a shithole than Redruth

How in the name of our holy saviour Bradley Dack could anyone think it's a good idea to spend £300,000 designing a yin and yang style roundabout when no-one can see it because, you know... IT'S A FUCKING ROUNDABOUT? Incredible waste of money that could have been put towards a much greater cause like gold plating Bradley Dack's hair. Absolute morons. Livid.

I live in Maidstone, it's alright. Better than either Gillingham or Swindon, that's for sure.

I'm exactly the same, born in Swindon, but never lived there, always in Gloucestershire really which is a nice part of the country. My granddad and dad being big town fans took me to games and hence the love affair with the football club.

I'm now in south west London so getting to games is expensive and takes time to get to. This season has dampened my enthusiasm a little to be fair.

Incidentally, how did you know the boxers had been used? Are you one of those forensic people from Silent Witness?

Hope it's a good game today played in a decent atmosphere. I was contemplating going but the direct train from Victoria is split via a bus from Meopham and I don't believe such a place exists!!

Oh but it does. And it's pronounced Mep'um.

Also: you're in south west London? Go to Waterloo and get a direct train from there (I realise this is too late).

Swindon fans cheered winning a goal kick in the first half. Odd lot.

Not many there either, 228 less than we brought to them on a Tuesday night.

Not defending what isn't a very good away support but you were and are top 4 and we are 17th with little to play for so its not that black and white. I wouldn't say 6k at home is that good a support either personally for a team chasing promotion.

Anyway, I couldn't care about crowds. The points on the field are much more important.

Long term gains.
Can't see Gillingham getting promoted if they can't score against our defence.
