Grange Hill. Staple viewing in the late 70's/early-mid 80's for us at school. Our teachers hated it as what bad behaviour was portrayed on the show ended up happening at our school. They ended up recording it and watching it so they could prepare for any bad behaviour after the epidose where all the kids in class started humming, I'd guess circa 85/86 as it was before we had options and I dropped out of French. The next day after that was shown in our French lesson. One kid started it off 'Hmmmmmmm' soon the entire class was doing it. Just a continuous 'Hmmmmm'. Feel bad about it now as the teacher, Mr Davies; was a sensitive type at the best of times and broke down crying in class. He was sent home and never returned to work. That programme has a lot to answer for :mell:
