Didn’t take long for this fixture to come around and with both teams undefeated in league and cup it’s a tough one to call.

Tisdale tends to play a cautious game and build into a match whereas Taylor has us starting games quite quickly, especially away from home so the first 20 minutes will be key for us to get ahead if possible.

I’d take a draw as MK are a good team and have some excellent players. Agard is class for this level plus Gilbey and Houghton decent in midfield.

It’s inevitable that one of our old players will score against us but we need to be confident in what we do and with Stockley and Forte looking good together we will have a threat.

Should be a good away following and I imagine Tisdale will get a mixed reception!

1-1

Expecting a close game, both sides have started well.

Exeter have the better attack, whilst we have the better defence. Expecting that's how it will go - lots of pressure from Exeter but us defending well. JMT is a proper player!

We look pretty toothless up front as we're missing a proper number 10, missing one or two key players through injury and also still looking to bring in a striker or winger.

Have a feeling Exeter will edge it by a single goal, but it will be a low scoring game.

Prediction: MK Dons 0 - 1 Exeter

I am expecting a draw. A lot of interest in this one in the west country for obvious reasons. I am hoping for a win, and I am also hoping for the constant sniping between a divided fanbase to finally be put to bed. Everybody is behind our new manager, but pro and anti Tisdale people cannot seem to stop gobbing off about it. Very dull !!. Even the leader of our Trust issued a statement earlier calling for the fan base to show respect to the Tis and others who have gone to MK Dons. All a bit overboard really !!

I'm not going but would like a win just to keep the run going. Despite the signings, I doubt we will find MK Dons playing the same way we did, they have different players.
Disagree that our strength is in attack. Our defence is pretty solid with A Martin a rock and either Moxey or Brown very effective. Would like to see us with some width as I recall Stadium MK is a big pitch. I hope Law gets a free rein.

Overall I think it will be tight and am going for a 1-1 with 800 Grecians

Anyone who swears at our fans and writes in national news papers shaming the model of our club and our fans is going to get a lot of abuse from me. Bring it on. Tiswas 0-4 Taylor

Heading to this one. Should be pretty tasty.

Want to win this one badly, as I suspect Tis does as well. The reception to him tomorrow will be pretty mixed. Some fans will give him grief, others will want to stick up for him so there's fair potential for conflict in the away end.

Back to the actual match, this should be our toughest test so far. I think we've got the points on the board so far without actually playing that well (bar first half vs Carlisle). We've looked solid enough but we're spending large chunks of games without the ball when we have the players in midfield to be able to knock it around and keep it ourselves; we haven't seemed to be able to find a rhythm as yet. Hopefully all our player are fit so we can line up:

Pym
Sweeney Martin Brown Moxey
Holmes Taylor Boateng Law
Stockley Forte

3-2 thriller either way.

Unless Healey comes in and completely revitalises our attack then we won't score two let alone three.

I don't think we'll hit full stride until mid September at the earliest as right now things surrounding Chuks seem to be dominating the club. I'd take a draw today but think we'll lose. Really hope I'm wrong though, it's just too close to call at the moment.

Disappointing result but sounds like we were worse with 11 than 10. You cant give away two penalties in 10 mins and expect to get anything out of the game. Plus it sounded like MK had a few other good chances too so no complaints.

Need to pick ourselves up and go again v Fulham on Tuesday and another tough game vs Lincoln next week end

Neither team really deserved the 3 points and a draw was probably the fairest outcome, both sides defended well and neither side really dominated in terms of clear chances. Once again this referee (Charles Breakspear) involved in changing the game. Felt the first handball was a clear penalty, but not sure on the second.

Anyway, think Exeter will definitely be up there. We probably have the best defence in the league but we're also lacking at the other end so expect we will pick up lots of 1-0s and 1-1s throughout the rest of the season.

From what the commentators were saying on the radio, it sounded like Tisdale played JMT in front of a back three to nullify Stockley which seemed a great move?

It also affected us that Forte went off injured after 10 minutes as his pace would have stretched the MK defence, so I am surprised Taylor didn’t replace him with Tristan Abrahams who’s just as quick. Taylor is still learning and today will be something that he will learn from.

Still, it did sound a tight game so can’t be too disappointed. MK will be right up there, especially as they’ve added Healey who will do well up front.

We couldn't really get going, I don't think the Forte injury did us many favours but in fairness MK looked solid. Neither side really did anything in the game from open play. I don't think we forced the MK keeper into a save and the only saves I remember Pym making were from the free kick in the first half and the penalty in the second. Don't think either side could have complained if it finished 0-0, it's a shame we gifted them not one, but two penalties for the same thing.

Onward and upwards.
