After a truly horrendous couple of seasons watching the worst team in England.
I'd like to thank Blackpool for putting a smile back on my face.

They won't be going. Oyston gets 25% of the gate receipts from Wembley so they'll be boycotting once again. I'd be surprised if they take more than 5k.

I don't get what Blackpool fans are whining about, their club is in the play off final now and they look a good team, if they believe that they should be a Premier League club then they are clearly deluded and living in cuckoo land as L1/L2 is their level really.

I don't have any issue with Luton, but there is something very satisfying about Hylton missing out. Must be even worse for him to lose out to a team with the word Black in their name.

are we the only ones who've had players tainted with being an asshole, homophobic or racist ?
perhaps its a clause in contract negotiations that you must've been a bigot or knob-head in some way or form to sign for us? players from the 70's 80's exempt....it was allowed/tolerated!! (still not pc though!!)
when you finish playing for luton...you join the crowd??

Tough to take but I still feel positive. The atmosphere was fantastic, best KR has been in years and years, right from before kick off all the way until the late sickener with only the briefest of lulls after Blackpool's opener. Even if they manage to sneak into League 1 there's no way that anyone can say Blackpool are in a better place as a club than Luton. I'd be amazed if they don't go straight back down, if they get up at Wembley, without a change of ownership and a whole new squad.

I know most Luton fans don't feel like it this morning but the truth is Luton are not far away from a squad that would easily take a top three place next season. A proper keeper and one or two real ball winning distributors in midfield and Luton will be tough to beat.

Well played to the 4 teams in the fantastic play off games that's the way football should be played (Ainsworth take note) I'd love gto know what the odds were on both ties being settled in the 95th minute. I don't mind who wins the final i'm just hoping for a game as good as the semi finals.

I wonder what the odds are on the final being 0-0 and decided on penalties now.

Personally I hope Blackpool win, for a couple of reasons.

I feel if they don't win they'll be a bigger threat to teams chasing promotion next year than Exeter.

I always prefer to see teams that beat us in the semi-final lose in the final. Not because I'd take delight in Exeter's misery, just that irrationally or not I view what happens to them as being what would have happened to us. If Blackpool go and stuff Exeter then I will feel that all we've avoided is suffering the same fate. If Exeter win then I'll feel that we've missed out on promotion ourselves.

i know its a subtle play on words but i'd rather celebrate getting BEAT by the better team than LOSE due to our own failings....
cant help feeling ours was the latter....same ending though....:gmc:

Our big crowds should be an advantage. Don't be bemoaning that when many a manager has come down here in the last few years trying to use it against us!
Crowd were excellent, couldn't have done much more to help the players, influenced decisions which is exactly what you needed especially after having that clown at Bloomfield Road. Blackpool couldn't handle it especially in the last 10 of that first half. That bloke who kept the ball behind the goal in the second half lit a fire within that Blackpool striker though, he played like a man possessed for the rest of the game.

They'd argue it's to do with off-the-field stuff rather than whether or not they're having a successful season. The owners are still suing some of their fans after all...

The way their fans carry on you'd think that they were on the brink of going bust or out of the football league with a terrible team to watch. They look financially fine to me and I must say I'm pretty jealous of them actually, got a fair few quality players in that team and a good manager, so their owners obviously have good judgement and want them to succeed.

If they are looking for sympathy from the rest of the league then they can forget it. They're just crying because they can't punch way above their weight anymore in the Premier League.

Issue death threats, post libel and mouth off about sabotaging businesses on the internet and you run the risk of going to court.

As for the football side of things, Oyston has always ran the club the same way (not paying agent fees etc), they were praising his stance when things were going well.

Lol at Luton, Hylton is a thug but the kind of player I see us targetting in the summer. As for Jones haha. Some of the rubbish he's spouted in post match interviews this season has been nothing short of delusion.

Pool fans chumping at the bit round here today and fair play they've done well and now have a real head of steam. Will be disappointed if they dont get promoted as the prospect of a derby match is very appetizing and will be a sell out crowd -well at least at Fleetwood !

This was rumoured a few weeks ago. £750,000+.

So after tickets went on sale at midday on Friday, we've sold 13,000 so far, which is pretty good going. I'd like to think we will edge over the 20,000 mark but we shall see.

Not sure how many Blackpool have sold, presumably quite a low number which could make for an odd atmosphere on the day. Getting nervous already though and still 6 days to go!

Tickets were only on sale to Blackpool's season ticket holders on the weekend and they only have 1,500, so that gives you a rough idea of how many they've sold so far.

Would be surprised if ticket sales on our side went over 20,000. Certainly slowing down.

Looks like it'll be quite a low Wembley attendance, which is a shame.

Looks like 1 of you 2 will be donating us a manager after the game - money is on Bowyer.

You've got it!

The biggest budget in L2 according to Father Lee - although I'm not convinced he actually said budgie.

Yep, it will be Bowyer as Tisdale won't leave anytime soon, probably for years.

If Bowyer is on his way to Swindon I'm not sure if that's a good thing for us re Sunday's game or not? Hope the players determination will be dented if they know he's going...Or they could all rally to give him the perfect send off.

Agghhh is it Sunday yet?

Not sure where this Bowyer speculation is coming from. He's fourth favourite in the odds but that's about it, unless I've missed anything?

Last year on the tube to Wembly my wife gave some likely lads the club transfer stickers we had for our boys. So this lad, about 24/5, put Green Army on his forehead. We discovered the next day they were virtually impossible to get off. So if Exeter are selling transfers don't put them on your face if you have to work the next day! Or maybe you should.
