Its usually ourselves it’s why we only finished 4th this season despite playing like this for most the year.
Must be very frustrating to watch as a fan. This level would challenge in the league above I reckon

3-1 - just watch it end 4-3 with Alabi getting the winner....

We were 3 up at half time against Grays in the play offs in 2006. Second half was agonising one way traffic, as they got it back to 3-2 with Denis Oli having the game of his life.....

Well done to all involved in the Vanarama play-offs for abandoning any attempt at defending IMO.
the final is now guaranteed to be dour affair and end 1-0 on penalties after 0-0 at extra time because you've said that.

There's getting stuck in, and then there's Bromley. Always wanting to go to ground and about a second late for everything.

This is a contender for the worst individual performance ever from Chris Bush. Reckon Bromley might be level if they’d just started a traffic cone instead.

So why do you mean people keep saying hurty things about us?

do you want to know why? its because you are all so upbeat. Its not becoming if you are a fan of one of the ex-league teams. You have to be miserable and resigned to failure until you eventually get promoted.

*IF you've been here for over 10 years you lose the ex-league tag and count as proper non-league (until you get promoted after about 50 years) and then become proper miserable like Wrexham fans (pre-takeover)

Think he said he's still got the hump about the 97 FA Cup QF...that's an impressively long grudge to hold about a football match.

I prefer to think of us as 'Once a league team'

Well done Pools.

Enjoyable game again, I can't see either Notts or Hartlepool troubling the other two, unless they tighten up a bit though

Pools of the first 35 minutes or so are well capable of winning this. The Pools of the remaining 65 minutes not so much. Bromley should be kicking themselves really.

I know it’s been said before, but worth repeating. The EFL should adopt this playoff system immediately. Much fairer and better.

When there's only one auto spot it certainly adds to the competition.

Not really bothered about the end score line, just glad/relieved we got the win.

Stockport will be a totally different beast than Bromley, another team that likes to play soccer, so hopefully a good game.

And a BROTHER is going up this year, hearty backslaps to all involved!

We've been more direct than usual today but that's to do with having Odusina at the back who's iffy on the ball and spotting a pretty glaring weakness in Bromley's backline.

Armstrong and Oates are the best strike partnership in the league. I believe Oates has another year but I might be wrong.

Oates isn't contracted for next season, there's only Holohan, Ferguson, Young and Grey with confirmed deals for next season, though DC said there's been tentative talks with some players, can see us losing some of these players to EFL clubs next season sadly.

I think if we were only 2 up at h/t we'd have put in more of a display to thrill the nation on BT Sport. They got a goal back early second half and we had to stop any momentum they had. We were pretty much untroubled apart from 2 poor goals where we switched off and that's quite a common theme for us when we're comfortably ahead.

I wouldn't write us off at Stockport at all but we can be sloppy and I shit myself when Odusina has the ball or any crosses come in for Brad James. Keep the concentration at the back and we are more than capable of beating them with what we have upfront.

A lot of this will depend on a) what league we're in and b) what Raj Singh decides is the budget. This summer will tell us everything about the clubs direction.

To be fair the teams who finished 2and 3rd 4th and 5th are left to play for promotion. The best 4 teams as it should be

Yeah I think DC knew they were gonna come out all guns blazing second half, they had to really and the plan was keep it tight, which lasted about 2 minutes, such a soft goal to concede, unmarked header to another unmarked header, easy goal, we marshalled the second half well though and I thought we had chances to increase our lead.

The problem for Pools is that people will come calling for the better players if you don't go up. Rhys Oates being one of them. Similar to Jack Earing at Halifax, he'll get linked with EFL moves if you stay down here. Thank goodness we don't have that yearly worry as much now.

Not sure I’ve seen a team completely freeze in the play-offs like this since someone (Morecambe maybe?) lost a first leg to Dagenham 6-0 the year we won League Two about ten years ago. They’ve been absolutely appalling.

Spot on.We’ve always struggled against Bromley’s anti ,kick everything that moves football.
This was a tough game for us & we came through it,Stockport will hold no fear for us at all.
