Looks like Barnsley's late run has come up short, although they still have a chance of keeping it going with the big game on Tuesday. However, it was always going to be tough with Ipswich and Argyle's solid form.

Wednesday are really just about hanging on and need a bit of a miracle now. I reckon Argyle are pretty much there with their very winnable last three games. If Ipswich and Argyle both win on Tuesday it's all over really.

That is not what was said.. we eventually lost to them late on but we competed well with them as if we were the same league.

your attendances have been good this season but a lot of championship clubs would be as good or better if they had a season like you..

To be fair, season ticket holders could get one extra ticket for £10 for that game, I didn’t realise until virtually sold out. Tuesday nights are normally lower because of travelling distances of fans.

To be fair Derby and Wednesday are probably capable which is a sign of how tough this league actually is.

Be interesting to see how Ipswich do, probably needed the “reset” by coming down and go back up much stronger for it. Best side we’ve played this season by a mile and shows how well we did in both games to keep in them. Anyone else we probably get a result in one of them.

No doubt they will get over but they are not the stand out team they think they are

13 wins and a draw from 14 games over a spell of 3 months suggests that actually.. we’re just a lot better than you want us to be. It’s been fun having people like you telling us stuff about our own team.

At Christmas when that Xg table came out that we would be 14 points clear from that stat, it did suggest that if we just had a bit more luck and made one or two clever signings in January, we’d turn the draws into wins. And we have done. Us and Plymouth deserve a fair bit of praise. Even Wednesday and Barnsley as well actually as they’re both going to get 90+ points. That’s levels you Bolton and Pompey fans can only dream of.

I throughly hope it’s Barnsley who win the playoffs (assuming we don’t end up in them ourselves). They’ll smash you to bits over two games too if you finish 4th and 5th.

Argyle keep going to be fair, looking forward to a fortnight tomorrow to see if that one ends at Vale Park one way or the other.

Although they beat us twice, I'd say they were one of the poorest we played out of the top 6. They just seemed to grind out results...which they're starting to do again. If they get promoted you feel they'll need a big turnover of players to even tread water in the league above.

If things go as they are currently pointing towards and both Argyle and Ipswich get the autos it will be interesting to see what sort of money Ipswich throw at next years squad to be honest.

Of course we will have to do things slightly differently to them, we just don't have the firepower to financially compete unfortunately. Few more wee gems on the cheap and some astute loan signings and you never know though, we may just finish ahead of them again next season

Wednesday are a funny one, most fallen giants that end up here bounce back stronger and don't return, Leicester, Sheff United, Wolves, Forest, Leeds for example but they've bounced back and forth down here three times I think now since 2003? for the size of that club they just seem to struggle to really sustain pushing on and making sure they don't go through this cycle.
