And us, Stevenage, Colchester Hartlepool, anyone below 17th really.

Fuck it, send us all down and be done with it.

Nah lads we've been offered a gift in Oldham and Scunny this season, it'll be a record low points tally for survival.

Well whoever doesn't go down this season will surely go down next season.
This is my thought.

This is the worst Carlisle team I’ve seen many years. If it somehow stays up, then surely it won’t be so lucky next season.

It kind of reminds me of the time we did lose our league status. We’d been flirting with relegation under terrible ownership for a few years, then finally our luck ran out. I think there’s every chance that we’ll go down this season as we’re definitely bad enough, but if we don’t, it’ll only be delaying the inevitable under these clowns’ ownership.

I wish they'd just sell the club and fuck off for good, they've really sucked the life out of the place and anyone who still defends Jenkins with that 'Just think of all what he's done for the club' shite can fuck off too.

This ownership is worse than any other I've known, even Knighton because at least he actually won us things.

And in a shocking turn of events, the two clubs hamstrung by an embargo are all but relegated in January

Our Chairman has accepted relegation and so have all the fanbase at this point, you'd be hard pressed to find a single fan at the game who thinks we stand a chance of survival.

You lot for the most part were always a team to be feared in the last 2 decades with deadly strikers like Sharp, Hooper and Madden etc

What happened??

Terrible mismanagement by a Chairman who loves the sound of his own voice and doesn't think he can do anything wrong. He massively overspent in prior years in an attempt to get to the Championship, it failed and the budget has been slashed ever since. Our budget is tiny this year, making recruitment very difficult. We just can't compete with almost anyone we play due to the players we can afford.

We've been sleepwalking towards non-league for years, we deserved to go down last year really so it's been a long time coming.

If Singh,Lee & Nelson are here next season,we'll be making a quick return to the NL hell hole.
Unfortunately, that'd be me finished with the club,I just couldn't take another minute in that place.

Well I'd much rather have Scunthorpe in the football league any day than a Salford or some other bankrolled non-league minnow.

Hopefully things will get better for the mighty Scunny.

It’ll be a long time before we are a League club again.

Are Dagenham and York (both 34 points) still the lowest?

Big few days for us.

So far we haven't done enough transfer business to stay up in my opinion. While Patrick is a good signing, he doesn't bring the goals we need so we still don't have enough quality to score goals at this level. Other teams seem to be trying to do something about their situation, we so far haven't, well not nearly enough. Unless we adequately strengthen the forward positions by end of the month, we'll be relegated.

I share your concerns about our lack of a goalscorer and that we are still in the relegation battle... but what exactly have other teams tried to do about their situation? Scunthorpe have signed a 20 year old winger who was surplus to Mansfield's requirements and Oldham have signed.... nobody.

It's been ages since the gap between ourselves and the relegation zone shrank, but every time we fail to win you become more concerned that we are sliding into oblivion. We got a couple of draws and that worried you and made you even more convinced we were going down... Scunthorpe lost and Oldham drew. Last week we lost to FGR which has sealed our fate it would seem, because it's only a matter of time before Scunthorpe and Oldham catch us... except on this occasion they both lost.

Neither of them seem to have a plan to improve their form, the people running them seem resigned to relegation and on their current form, even if we lost every single game from now on, it would take them both 15 games to catch us. If we can manage to pick up even just one or two points every five games, then unless they improve, they won't catch us. And that's just Oldham and Scunthorpe. Barrow, Colchester and Stevenage are all still very much in it.

We're not out of the woods but the idea that an 8 point cushion over two of the lamest of lame ducks seen at this level for years is just going to evaporate because we draw too many games is a bit overly pessimistic.

Oldham have hired a manager who has proved time upon time again that he can get them out of the shit. If that’s not doing something about it then I don’t know what is. And I’ve no doubt he’ll bring in a few players before Monday night.

As I’ve said previously, we’ve been very fortunate recently to have caught teams on real bad days, you may disagree and think we’ve been excellent, but I don’t, we’ve had slices of luck. We won’t get many more points with those levels of performances, especially now Millen has for some unknown reason decided to revert back to the midfield pairing of Guy and Mellish that has been dire and devoid of any impact all season. To stay up we need to bring in some quality in forward areas and forget about Mellish playing in a midfield 2. Big 6 days ahead.

I wouldn't normally care who we drag down to the abyss with us but I hope it's Carlisle just to see a HG meltdown

Three games coming up against Newport, Northampton and Tranmere where we won't pick up any points, then two huge games against Hartlepool and Stevenage.
