Read my post again. Basket case of a club, as oppose to yourselves of course.
I'm not denying that we are, but you seem to think everything was fine until Swampy came along. How many times did you get reprieved from relegation?

Twice. But my point had nothing to do with us, nor did I say Sutton or anyone else should be denied promotion.

With a vote of no confidence in the NL board likely to happen surely the EFL shouldn’t be subjecting it’s members to that shambles. Let 2 up and relegate 4 next year when/if they’ve sorted themselves out.
I think that's a valid point. I'm not allowing myself to clutch at those straws because it's painful enough hoping for our useless lot to win every week.

Today feels a must win for Southend. Feels too much to do otherwise. Must be great to be those other shit teams sat on 40 odd points knowing one more win is enough.

AHAHA! Look at these puny teams trying so hard to score more goals than us. It is not possible! We are the new invincibles!

The villagers of Borehamwood and Yeovil must be quaking at the prospect.

Ok ~~ I didn't know that. Who bought you out?
We got bought out by football ventures wealthy Business men/woman
Bury where up for sale at the same time....They had no takers hence they went under.

Only interest was from Sheik yer Bucket.......They could not raise enough money

Beat Barrow on Monday and I think we're pretty much done.

Pathetic and spineless doesn't even begin to describe that today.

should be an interesting match tactically - Colchester parking the bus and getting a point in a 0-0 will put Colchester 6 points ahead of Southend with a +12 better goal difference;- meaning Southend would need at least 2 wins and a draw from there 7 remaining games - and would need 1 of those wins to be against Colchester.

A draw wouldn't be the worst result but if either are going to win it needs to be Barrow, we have a game in hand on Colchester, and one less on Barrow.

Our only hope now is Colchester keep losing to the end of the season and we some how turn some draws into wins.

We're not going to park the bus for a 0-0 at home to Barrow.

the last time you played us at home in the Football League you had a 15 month unbeaten home record... and we were in the bottom 2 or 3 - and you still lost - so stranger things have happened.

Bottom 2 look gone now I’d think, awful weekend for them results wise with both facing promotion hopefuls next.

Stranger things have happened but looking a big ask.

Colchester look the most likely to be caught but Southend just dont seem to have the wins in them or goals for that matter. Colchester win Monday and with Barrow having games in hand it would probably be curtains.

But you've already had a wealthy businessman. £125m later that went tits up?

so you are saying it is a name a SHEPHERD would use

Out of respect for the teams in the relegation battle, I won’t allow myself to be drawn into a pun-fest. That said, it’s no surprise that the sheep-botherers up at Col Ewe are involved.

Frustrating thing for me is that we are clearly no longer one of the worst 2 sides in the league yet the deficit we already had to make up means we are still doomed.
7 unbeaten now but unfortunately 6 of those draws but at least 4 of those draws we should have won (Not saying we were the better side in them all, just that we missed easily the best chance in those drawn games) and if we had we wouldn’t be in the bottom 2 anymore.
Frustrating but shows to me and most of our fans now (maybe not pontoonlew) that Hurst is the right man to lead us in the National League.

Thinking a win for Colchester today against Barrow and a Grimsby loss of draw means bye bye to us and Grimsby!
