Welcome back. :) Sounds like a good night and how was the venue?
Was a decent venue. Big warehousey rooms and a sound system that could cope with the size. Fairly decent lights too and an outdoor terrace bar that was open and had djs playing on that weren't on the flyer too, so was essentially an extra room.

Along with Shimamura he's probably the DJ I'm most pleased about discovering over the past few years.

DJ/MC and DJ Combos I have never seen that I want to see...
Force/Styles & MC Junior - will never happen
Druid & MC Sharkey - old skool perfection
Red Alert/Mike Slammer - yesssss
Shimamrua & MC Stone - I will see them
No MC Stone, but Bangface have announced a "Japan Invasion" takeover for the Weekender and it's only got Shimamura on it. Absolutely buzzing for this now...

As soon as I saw that I thought of you haha. Anyone good there?

We had a great time at Tribe last weekend the best it's been for a few months. Always seem to enjoy the November space party as it's always pretty trippy. Mechanimal was quality again. :)

Going to Corsica Studios tonight for the Them night with dystopian visuals from 29nov films. It's going to be absolutely banging as everyone on there has heavy analogue material.

Tinfoil (Sunil Sharpe & DeFeKT) (live)
Ansome (live)
Headless Horseman (live)
JoeFarr (live) debut
J.Tijn
Jerome Hill
Bintus
Sebastian Kökow
Altar
Waterworks

Exclusive B2B from Ansome, J.Tijn & JoeFarr

Ansome, J.Tijn and Joe Farr are going b2b2b for the first four hours to open it which should be absolutely quality. Tinfoil is a particular treat as I've not seen either of them and their material is sounding great. :)

Oversold it but it was quality. Tinfoil were utterly amazing up there with the Zadig set in October. Ansome closed things nicely. I know a lot of fuss has been made about Fabric closing and then not closing but it would be an absolute travesty if Corsica Studios shut.

Off to Corsica again tonight with Children of Tomorrow showcase in room two with Arnaud Le Texier and Antonio De Angelis taking control of the music. Really can't wait for this as these two are probably two of my favorite's that I've not managed to catch yet. Expecting pleanty of trippy stuff. :)

Line up int he main room is good too with Shifted, Samuel Kemppi and Milton Bradley playing but I can't see beyond that second room. Staying on for Jaded which will take us into Sunday afternoon with Stephanie Sykes who played a blinder the last time I saw her in Birmingham and Nur Jaber who a friend caught a while back and said she was excellent too. :)

Must admit this weeks been a bit of struggle for the first few days after the last few weekends so quite looking forward to a break after this with nothing planned until the 14th of January.

Came across this old drum and bass tune this morning which is pretty fucking heavy:

That was pretty amazing. Angelis and Le texier played b2b for four hours and were brilliant. They played that Transporting tune I posted up there and it sounded beautiful and hectic on a proper soundsystem. Jaded was the usual fun with Stephanie Sykes standing out. 15 hours of amazing techno in a brilliant venue just sad its over.

Plans for NYE? We managed to sell our Jaded ticket and so got a ticket to an Acid Techno night here at a relaxed local venue. All the liberators playing who I've not actually seen which is a surprise as one of them seems to play every acid party put on. Will be a bit different and there's a good after party around the corner from where I live.

Doing Cellar Door which is just a load of local house & techno DJs. Always a good night, crowd and atmosphere so looking forward to it. A load of mates throwing a house party so I'll be heading to that after the rave, which means I won't be sleeping until Tuesday at the earliest!

Liberators were amazing and played a lot deeper than I was expecting. Can definitely see why they garner the respect they do and it was a decent way to cap off the year. Recommend catching them if they play local. Didn't bother with the after party in the end as we were pretty much home and it was house music.

Caught Fautzi last week which was quality. :) Really rate the "On the 5th day" nights in London.

Chilled one this weekend.

Last two weekends haven't been that successful for me. Had planet shroom last weekend but wasn't really enjoying the psy trance on offer but some good news this week as there is a dark and forest psy dedicated night in March so that's something to look forward to then. Then this weekend we had Individual collective at Corsica studios which had an amazing line up (Kangding ray, Paula Temple, Rrose) just to name a few but it was massively oversold and there was no room to dance which just defeats the object I think. It should have been amazing but I felt pretty ripped off after paying £20 for my ticket the only set I could enjoy was Tessela at the end.

Off to see Max Cooper do a live AV show at the Bristol Imax tomorrow which I am really looking forward to. I've been wanting to see his emergence show for ages and this should be just as good. :)

Old but beautiful track that I came across today:

It was tickets but there was just a total lack of organisation and about 1000 people all trying to squeeze through one entrance. It was 10am til about 3 am I think, top night.

10am or 10pm? 10am till 3am I wouldn't worry to much about missing an hour or two though I'd still be Pissed off. 10pm-3am and I'd be fucked right off.
