Think the safety mark might be above 53 points this year, teams seem to be picking up quite a few points down here. I don't think 6 points will be enough to guarantee our safety.
53 is a readjustment to the improved form of those teams, it was previously sitting around 49/50 points. It doesn't seem low to me, however the 69 total seems low as a Chesterfield supporter, so maybe that perception is to do with how we're looking at it.

With the combination of games still to play, I think 69 will be too low.

Looking like 71 after today. Will post the update after tomorrow's games.

If we win on Tuesday we're past the predicated safety line but I really don't think we will be safe.

2 wins this week against Colchester and Oldham would be great - can't see us being caught if we could do that. Unfortunately that's not the Chesterfield way and I wouldn't put it past us to beat Bristol City and Sheff U instead :)

You may be in luck by the time we meet you as our season is likely to be over by Saturday latest. Unless we are going for the 100 points but I doubt it.

Not much more point in this, but it's probably just about relevant for this last round.

Congratulations of course to Bristol City on securing the title. Fleetwood, Gillingham, Barnsley, Posh, Bradford & Donny are all the first to secure League One football for next season (besides Blackpool). Yeovil's surge has come far too late, but I have been asked by a friend to pass on words to the sentiment of "Yeovil said no, just like Flint" - I would of course have absolutely no idea what that means.

Come on Chesterfield!
