Big game for us on Saturday - we've hit a purple patch of form and actually look like a decent team again. I've not followed the closely, but I think Swindon have been doing quite well, so this should be a decent test of where we're at.

I don't expect many, if any, changes from last Saturday's game.

I imagine Swindon have sold out, or nearly sold out their allocation, so the atmosphere should be quite decent as well.

Roll on Saturday.

Sold out ages ago. There is a clamour for more tickets so I would expect quite a few in the home ends a la FGR a couple of weeks ago.

The ultimate bogey team for us - can't remember the last time we won in a competitive game. But, pretty we ain't, effective we are away from home, so I'd expect to come away undefeated from this one.

Flitcroft seems, at last, to be settled on his first XI. We are dangerous going forward, buttock-clenching at the back.

I still haven't got over that FA Cup game!

The only bright spot of our 14/15 season. The fact we lost to Dover in the 2nd round summed that season up.

We'll be without our keeper as, unknown to anyone, he was sent off after the Coventry game last week for foul and abusive language and, allegedly, throwing a punch. What a prick - 4 game ban. Very talented but is something of a loose canon sometimes.

Not seen this much confidence in a CTFC side since the conference winning season, Swindon will prove a tough test though and not easy to break down so hope we don't get frustrated. I'd take a draw tbh and keep the unbeaten run going.

1-1

With Swindon, it's only at Whaddon Road where we hold a hex over them. We've lost more games at the County Ground than we've won.

Grimsby is an odd one - before the Playoff final in 06 we had never beat them, or even come close to beating them. I remember we lost 1-0 at Blundell Park that season and we were never in it at all. I fully expected a tanking in that final and winning was a genuine surprise. Since then we seem to hold something over them. We used to hold the same over Exeter, but since they beat us on Boxing Day in 2014 we haven't beat them.

Well, if we actually tried to play football instead of prehistoric hoof ball we’d be beating these shitty sides.

The quality in L2 is fucking terrible and I include us in that. Bollocks if I’m paying £50 to watch this shit.

I think a draw would have been a fair result (just) but with the amount of free kicks that both teams were giving away just outside the area then it could have been Swindon taking three at the death.

Swindon must bloody hate coming to Whaddon Road, even when they play well they still lose.

I agree with Longmover, I felt a draw was a fair result. In the first half, despite having loads of possession, Swindon never for a second looked like scoring and we had the best chances, taking one of them. In the second half they were much more dangerous, deserved their goal and tested Flinders a good few times - that being said, we did miss a penalty and had a couple of chances of our own. For about 10 mins at one point in the second half, it really was end-to-end stuff. I thought the Swindon keeper was brilliant as well, not only with the penalty save, but with his handling in general and the way he dominated his 6 yard box. You'd never have know it was his League debut.

A properly nervy and tense game, with that feeling of a derby match. The atmosphere was brilliant throughout. Nothing beats a last minute goal.

Our keeper played loads for Coventry before he played for us so it was far from his league debut but otherwise thanks for the honest review

Thanks for reminding me about that season.... :ffs:
I had no nerves at all about that final as like you say in the League games we were on another level to you 3-0 and 1-0 but we should have had more than the 1 at home. Michael Reddy getting injured early in the final fucked us over as we had no plan B and you were miles better than us on the day.
