Can't believe not one of em bit. Was expecting at least 2 pages.
Don't think there's much to dispute is there? He may speak well in his interviews but he's moved twice (I believe) in situations where in media terms at least he's seemingly good at the club. Not really anything you wouldn't expect him to say either, he'd get crucified for saying otherwise and risk his position at the club.

To be fair to him I can see the reasons for moving both times.
First at Oldham he had pretty much no budget and was having to do a rebuild with nothing to work with.
While at Barnsley he got a job offer from the club he loves and given an opportunity to repay the support Lansdown gave him in making his first steps into football management, also with a larger budget than available at Barnsley.

At the moment he is here and working towards the "project" and we all know Lansdown will give him time to achieve what he wants to. If he left for Villa he would definitely start to have a reputation for leaving clubs at the first opportunity (I don't think he has this just yet because it's only his 3rd job) and would potentially ruin the very good reputation he has built up so far if he didn't get success with their huge budget.
I'd also wager SL is more patient with managers than Dr. Xia, Gary J lost 9 in a row at the start of his time here- worse than RDM's record- but was given the time to turn it around.

Of course Villa are a much bigger club, but LJ has another 25-30 years to manage and since joining us has only done good things for his standing in the game, IMO leaving for Villa to get a big pay packet as early as possible is a silly move when it has the potential to ruin what he has worked for so far.
Of course if he succeeded there it would pay off even more, but I think the risk outweighs the reward in this particular gamble.

Or to put it simply LJ was leaving Oldham at the first chance possible to get away from the club after the whole Ched Evans situation and yeah not disagreeing with the stuff about moving from Barnsley to us either, just a case I don't think he advertised it in the press or anything and still seemed like he was staying at his clubs media wise.

We've parted company with Nigel Pearson. Mutual consent.

I expect Chris Powell to be put in charge until the end of the season.

The mighty Rams!!!
Powell in charge until the end of the season I imagine. Doesn't matter who we get, unless he plays the Derby way (whatever the fuck that is), allows drones recording training, feedback on performances from the chairman and the players having a direct line to the top when they're not happy.

Chris Powell until the end of season would feel like a pretty unambitious appointment, steady enough but think Derby could attract better. Powell will certainly inherit a very strong squad.

Too bad that he is not as intelligent, articulate, cultured and stylish as Gary Rowett.
come on mate, it's not his fault he's a Geordie. Intelligent, articulate, cultured and stylish, but may I add decent looking. That's villa fans for you mate. Rowett is a villa lad, right?

As it's looking more like it's going to be Bruce, let's hope they widen the door frame and reinforce the seats in the dugout.

We want Rowett apparently. We won't get Rowett though.

Fully expect Powell to get it until the end of the season, confirming we've written off a second consecutive season. Lovely stuff.

Heard it got pwopa nawty last time, braver in the toilets than outside the ground. Haha, ain't they called the fat squad or something. Not fighters, just drinkers. In that QF villa turned up like they do most of the time. Another myth the blues like to play up to that they have always smashed villa everywhere. I don't condone any hooliganism by the way and think it should of been left behind in the 70s 80s and 90s because nowadays it's a complete joke. Anyway I will admit you lot were better at being hooligans than we were as you took it nationwide on a large scale. You can keep your trophy for that.

I'm kind of warming to him. He's the most friendly nose I've spoke to online, or anywhere for that matter.

Don’t forget our League Cup trophy as well from 2011 when we beat you along the way, the only trophy in Birmingham now that is not encased in a thick layer of dust and cobwebs from when you won all of yours back when Queen Victoria was on the throne.
