From the outside I'm aware how it sounds, but we've been in this position before not so long ago, we were 2nd in league 1 when people were asking for Alan Irvine to be sacked, everyone said it was stupid, 2 months later when he was eventually sacked we were 13th and stood no chance of going up that season
You beat Newcastle at St James a few weeks ago, your style may not be as good to watch this season but you're still grinding out results.

Newcastle was the one good performance for as long as I can remember, I'll give him that, we were good that night.

But go back through December, Preston at home, they were all over of us when beckford and Doyle had a scrap and got sent off. Barnsley at home, outplayed for 70minutes, they get a red card and the game is over. Rotherham at home, they have a perfectly good goal disallowed and we win it with a very debatable last minute penalty. Newcastle we were good. Preston away we barely touched the ball, our equaliser with our first shot on target in the 94th minute, wolves at home I don't recall us having a good chance.

I can go back further, Ipswich at home, Leeds at home.

Lately we've had a lot of luck and got results but our luck will run out soon

Why would they be lucky to have him?
Because he's a very good manager who could get himself a better job.

He was getting the best out of your squad which your fans overrate and look how it's gone since he was sacked...

See Birmingham since he left them.
And see two of the last three under Rowett. Lost 0-3 at home to Barnsley, lost 0-4 against Newcastle.

The only bad game we’ve had under Zola has been against Brentford. Sucker-punched against Brighton. Lost to a questionable penalty at Derby. Drew against Newcastle and away at Barnsley. Could have been looking at 3W, 1D, 1L. The fine margins between winning and losing. Very early days though. But we are playing better. More fluidity and movement, more possession, linked with better calibre players. Some positive signs. Results will come.

Could but never did.

How much have you seen of Rowett’s Birmingham apart from the Sky games and the 15 seconds a week on Channel 5?

Name the players he was getting the best out of…

Because a job hasn't come about yet, had Norwich sacked Neil they'd have gone for him.

Whenever you play us obviously and the Sky games. You were a solid outfit and he had you overachieving on a small budget. When he left you you had the second least defeats in the division wasn't it?

Okay: Shotton, Spector, Davis & Jutkiewicz to name a few...

So you're playing prettier but less effective football? Fair enough, depends what you're after as a paying fan I guess.

Think Rowett would be a good appointment for Forest. Good manager who will steer them away from any danger and with some money behind him should have Forest competing for the play-offs next season. Far better than any of the trash they've had recently.

Spector’s Spector, no better or worse in the time since Hughton signed him. Jutkiewicz has scored 4 in 5 under Zola. Shotton’s colossus one match, average or poor the next. Agree on Davis, he has done well, although I can't recall him at Wolves to compare.

Rowett took Birmingham from 21st to 10th in the first season, and was sacked when Birmingham was 7th.

My guess is Rowett will do the same with Forest and maybe better, if he gets the money, something he didn´t have at Brummies.

I dont care how Rowett setup the team, if we just are hard to play against.

Tbf you haven't watched what we have this season, we're hanging on in the play offs because our squad is good enough, Carlos changed his system from last season and it's stifling our creativity, our luck will run out soon
He hasn't changed the system, it's the same but players underperforming, notably Bannan and Reach.

Reach is just an average Championship player anyway, fuck knows why you spent what you did on him.

We spent the same as you did on Tomlin, god knows why though. The prices reported V price actually paid is quite a bit different.

Yeah, I read £5m rising to £7m. Tomlin was excellent value at £3m in the current market but he'll probably go in the summer, he's far too good for us.

This would be my very own personal nightmare. Genuinely think I'd cry and most likely plunge into the Trent if he brought my boy Che along as well.

Become a Forest fan instead of Derby if it happens

Davis was alright at us, very highly rated at one point and in our Prem relegation season he looked like the only player on the pitch who gave a shit.

Since he went to you though it seems like his number one job is to be a c*** to Wolves fans, a shame because once upon a time we were singing his name.

Yes he has we're far more direct this season, everything is looking for fletchers head

We're also much more cautious, which is fine against the better teams and in carlos' defence we've got results against better sides this season because of it, which is something we didn't do last season. But we shouldn't be employing the same tactics at home to wolves and Rotherham, they never move off the 18off box and that's why we barely had a shot in those 2 games. The same can be said for a lot of the games at hillsborough this season

We will agree to disagree, the fact that Bannan has been utter toss and we've shoe horned Reach in is more the point.

Teams didn't sit back against us last season as we weren't as "well known" which allowed us space to pass around them, this year teams come to Hillsborough to not lose and park the bus which makes it very difficult. When teams have come at us we've played them off the park, like Fulham and Derby away.

I still think we will be top six which is about par and anyone calling for the manager to go is clearly a fucking knobhead.

Has Reach been used as an out and out left back all season? Weird.

Wolves?

Please don't put us in that bracket. We battered you, and should have had a stonewall penalty. I assure you that Wolves were much more pissed off than Sheff Wed that we didn't win that game. If Sheff Wed are that lucky every game I'd start buying yourself a lottery ticket.

It was not going to get any worse than Lee Clark. The players Elsie had we should had been looking at mid-table. All it took was for someone more competent to get us back up the table.

What did you think of Rowett's Birmingham when you last played us?

I always liked Rowett from the time in Burton Albion to Birmingham. For us Forest right now Rowett seems as the right manager to get in, Forest should at least in my option be in 10 top each year.

I think you missed the point, I'm agreeing with you, you played us off the park, too many have this season, that's what I'm getting at.

I'm not calling for Carlos to go tbf as much as it might not seem like that in here but I can see the reason why people are. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now based on the fact we are 6th and we are competing better against the better teams. Just the lower sides we struggle to put to bed and good teams don't do that

It's only really the mongs who want Carlos out, it's a far harder league this season and we're on more points and higher up the league than the same time last year. The problem Carlos has had really is a severe lack of pace and finding a way to fit all the best players in the side together, and his obsession with Bannan is strange, no matter how shit he plays one week he'll never be dropped while we've got Almen Abdi sat on the bench it mystifies me, I highly rate Bannan btw. Also as Walkley says some players haven't performed as well as expected, but at the minute some would say we've hit a bad patch yet we've lost 1 game in 9 is it in the league? Imagine what we'll be like when we click. I just don't think Wednesday fans appreciate how difficult it is to get out of this league, it takes more than 18 months to build a bottom half side into a top 2 team without parachute payments.
