There seems to be a change in the fans attitude to Farke after the Leeds game. There was a contingent that wanted him out last season but most accepted that the playing squad had had a huge overhaul and that it was best to allow him the time get the team playing the way he wanted to play. Most fans were waiting for the start of this season before passing judgment and it seems that for many the Leeds game was the final straw. We don't look far from being a good side but we've looked like that for most of Farke's time in charge and never seemed to take that final step. A loss against Ipswich and I think he'll lose the remaining fans (bar the few that will never want to change the manager regardless of circumstances). It definitely has that feeling of inevitbality about it now. I would be surprised to see him still here by Christmas.

Norwich didn't look bad in the opening 20 minutes against us. The problem came when they went behind, it was almost like they instantly gave up. I think half of the reason Leeds looked so impressive was that Norwich weren't putting in the effort.

Big test for Farke at the weekend.

I definitely think there was a lot of panic after you went ahead (and got the 2nd so quickly). Not something we've really seen under Farke before which is worrying.

Clement will go first surely.
Agreed. How the hell did Rowett become rated by the way? He's like the shittest bits of Pulis, Hughes & Lambert rolled into one.

Paul Clement won't be the first to go, he's a yes man for his old Chelsea chum Ron Gourlay.

Brucie has got to go now. No way will he resign, he wants his pay check. We will never go up under him. We may come close, like last season, but he’s had long enough now. No style, no idea what we are doing, awful football mostly, and that’s with some of the best players in this league.

My only problem, is who do we replace him with??????

How naive can he be to neglect a defence, and then seriously say that we will get better, and will be up there in time. Best attacking lineup in the league by far, but fire blanks half the time. No doubt i’ll regain some common sense by Monday, but if we can get a replacement who we believe can take us forward, then get it done.

Agreed I think his time is up. Like you say you're essentially playing fantasy football in this league with the ability to purchase the division's best talent, but you can't translate it into winning games.

Needs a fresh change with a manager with fresh ideas. Maybe taking a risk and going abroad is the better option, don't think getting another English dinosaur is the answer. Contrary to popular belief I don't think Dean Smith would be good for both parties. He thrives on doing well with limited resources at the likes of Walsall and Brentford, giving him an open chequebook at Villa isn't his style.

To be fair to Bruce this year - there was an incredible amount of turmoil at Villa over the summer, it's not surprising you are struggling a bit in the early part of the season.

Don't think there's anyone else available who would do that much better with the squad you guys have at the moment.

Dean Smith is a good manager, has his limitations but has been doing very well for us. A lot of what's good about our team though doesn't come from him, it comes from the rest of the operation at the club. I have no doubt we'd struggle for a little if he left, but we'd soon recover.

Think we're a good fit for him, I'm sure he'd love a chance at a "big" club though so wouldn't be surprised if he left. Someone will take a punt on him at some point soon...

The pressure at villa compared most clubs is a lot for some managers to handle. Don’t mean to say that in an arrogant way. It’s just that the fanbase is demanding, and expectations are always too high in some ways.

Clubs need to ignore fans, Luhukay would have been sacked after 3 games this season and Adam Reach was never a footballer when he first came according to our mongs.

They really do. Twitter etc makes it too easy for 'fans' to slag off players, managers or owners despite the fact most of them do not even go to the games.

Still no manager sacked as we enter October. Credit to all the patient Championship chairman out there, although with the likes of Bruce, Neil, Rowett just to name a few seemingly on the brink. It does feel like the calm before the storm. Surely the international break will see our first sacking..

Neil isn't on the brink. Ridsdale & Hemmings are patient with managers, kept Westley for far too long and gave Grayson time when we had a similar start to the season and ended up strolling to 11th.
